Ki hala aklım Tolkien’in hayal gücünün sınırlarını – ya da belki uçsuz bucaksızlığını demeliyim – kabul etmekte direniyor. Absolutely loved it. This is my first time reading Tolkien, and it won't be the last. I had seen the Hobbit cartoon movie when i was a kid, but forgot 90 percent of it, and had forgotten a lot of the two Peter Jackson installments as well. So, my crappy memory for movies served me once again with this book. Much of it was a surprise.

Heerlijk om weer eens over te lezen. Ik wilde dit gedaan hebben voor de film(s) uitkomen. Heb ook graag mij eigen herinneringen aan het boek. Vraag me wel af hoe men het boek denkt onder te verdelen in twee films. De complexiteit van het verhaal ligt een stuk lager dan bij In de ban van de ring. hierin is De Hobbit ook duidelijk het 'kinder'boek, wat Tolkien ook voor ogen schijnt gehad te hebben.

De vorige keer dat ik het boek las, is zeker 15 jaar terug. De hoofdlijn blijft je wel bij, maar veel
