Seriously, though, this book had it rough. It was my most anticipating read of May -of the first half of 2019, I would say. I was literally counting the days until this would come out. I such a fan of stories with politics that are not about politics, what can I say, especially if they involve royalty. So, four stars of five is a very big rating for a book I was expecting so much of. And seriously, it is amazing. The writing is beautiful, the jokes are witty and the characters are both unique and realistic and that's an amazing thing to achieve. But, hands down, the best thing for me was the millennial humour. I couldn't get enough of it.

Alex was a fucking delight to read and Henry was just delightful. Together, they are one of the pairings with more chemistry I have ever read, and their story made smile like a dumbass at my computer and my phone and everything because honestly, I couldn't put this book down, even if the ending was pretty obvious from the start. But I was expecting that from a rom-com, a nice, funny and warm read, and nothing very complex for the plot, so I liked that very much.

Another thing I loved and I want to point out were the girls! Ah, they felt so well rounded, even if they had only small appearances, and I loved them very much. They didn't feel like an "extra" on the boy's lives, but the author managed to show us they had stories on their own without making it the focus and I really loved it!

The only thing that makes me not giving it full five stars is that I loved VERY much the first half of the book; so much that the second half felt somewhat tasteless for me. Not bad, but not as good, and by the end somethings felt rushed, some of the messages thrown at your face for the lack of time. Also, I would have been fine with no drama at all, but the drama that was in there was a little bit too cliché for my tastes, and ended in a ~magical way, kinda, so it didn't work for me. I think that if there were 50 0r 100 more pages it would have been perfect for me!

I recommend this book to anyone who wants a nice, romantic story to spend time; I wouldn't recommend it to people that are looking for a serious novel, not really, because it still feels like a YA at heart. Also, not for people that take politics very seriously or want an actual portrayal of how it could work.

I really loved this book. I can't believe this is Casey McQuinston's debut, and I'm really excited about what she will write in the future!!!!

Siento que esperaba demasiado de este libro por todo el hype que tenía o más bien que tiene por todas partes y pues no es que sea un libro malo, simplemente a mi no me terminó de convencer.

La historia es linda y entretenida,no lo niego,de hecho las historias de amor/odio suelen gustarme bastante pero en esta sentí que faltó algo, no sé... creo que tal vez también afectó un poco el hecho de que no pude conectar con ninguno de los personajes, realmente me era indiferente lo que les pasaba.

Reading Challenge 2020: 26. Un libro con un juego de palabras en el título

Realmente es otro NA del montón, solo podría resaltar que lo único que cambia es la orientación sexual del protagonista: Mala historia (casi rayando a lo ridícula), personajes planos y con poco desarrollo, que el protagonista se obsesione con su interés amoroso, la cantidad innecesaria (e irrelevante) de escenas de sexo y correspondencia por correo al estilo Fifty Shades of Grey

Había dicho que no iba a leer ningún libro de romance este mes; pero bueh, a estas alturas ya todos deben saber que tengo poco autocontrol y el libro anterior que terminé me dolió mucho. Necesitaba un abracito a mi corazón.

Y la verdad lo he disfrutado, creo que incluso más que la primera lectura, de la que recordaba prácticamente nada (su adaptación está cerca, entonces quería leerlo por eso también).

I wish I was as hyped as I was when I started the book, something happen and I stop reading it, and when I came back to it , it was all problems and political stuff so it was kinda downfall for me, but I remember the majority of this book being great!
