I borrowed this book from the library.
Okay, so we know me. I love a graphic novel and Heartstopper is one of those graphic novels that EVERYBODY has something positive to say about. Genuinely, I don't think I have ever heard a bad word about this series. So of course, I don't want to read it. After everybody had hyped this graphic novel up I was really excited to read it. Honestly I’m being generous with my rating because it barely kept my attention and I didn’t enjoy the plot line at all. The plot line felt really dry to me and it just felt all over the place. There were only a few spots where I actually understood was was going on. I don’t think I will continue the series and I wish I would’ve enjoyed it so much more.

Do I have a cold heart? This book is loved by so many but I found it to be incredibly lacking in substance.
Nothing much happens other than two teenagers working up the courage to express their feelings to each other. Yes that is cute and relatable and I am pleased that Gay teens have this representation in such a popular book series. But that doesn't make it an interesting story. Very quick read. So cute! I binged the tv series and knew I had to grab a copy of the books.
