And Then There Were None is a classic whodunit that keeps you guessing until the very end. It is stories like this that I am sure twisty auteurs like M. Night Shyamalan get their inspiration from. I hesitate to say too much, lest I give any secrets away. Just know that it is a short and fast paced mystery that benefits from being shorter in length because the quick progression of events adds to the suspense and urgency.

This is a great beach read, or if you're feeling really atmospheric, take this one to a deserted island or a secluded cabin on a lake. Read this in the midnight hours with all the windows open, prepare to be suitably creeped out and expect to peer over your shoulder at every turn. Was that the wind blowing? or was that someone creep, creep, creeping around?

This was my first Agatha Christie novel and I have to say it was a lot of fun.

Christie took me back to my Saturday mornings with my mom when I was but a preteen. She was and still is a big fan of true crime, mystery, and/or anything on the ID channel. Our past time on Saturdays was PBS Masterpiece Mystery. Our favorite inspector was Hercule Poirot ( Yes, I know! I need to read Murder on the Orient Express next). Agatha Christie just isn’t my thing anymore. So many characters. I had to go back and forth to keep them and the stupid poem straight. Thank goodness I had a paper book. That would have driven me bananas with an audio.
