A short, fun revenge story. It took me a bit to get into the setting as I haven't read much animal fantasy, but I loved the use of animal stereotypes (and Frenchmen!).

This novella came highly recommended, described as being a grimdark "Redwall meets Unforgiven", and a Hugo award finalist to boot. Unfortunately this book just seemed like the author was in "make an easy paycheck" mode, and I found little to enjoy in this story.
