What Members Thought

I read this book as a teenager and absolutely loved it. I remember it as my favourite Christie novel. Perhaps I liked all the deaths, lol! This time I didn’t like it quite so much. The island didn’t really come alive for me, nor did any of the characters. The plot was rather clever but still didn’t really grip me. I mean, Christie’s novels are always wonderful but I’d have to give this one a solid 3.75 stars.

Great fun! My first murder mystery, let alone Agatha Christie. What a great place to start! I loved how easy and fun this was to read, yet hard to figure out. Her writing style, with short sentences, paragraphs, and chapters, but full of great dialogue and quick action, made this an exciting read. Next thing you know, the books is over, it's late at night, and you still don't know who did it. You can see why she was the most popular mystery writer of all time.
