What Members Thought

I ended up reading two books by Neil Gaiman -- this one and The Truth is a Cave in the Black Mountains -- that checked the box for the "Read a book under 100 pages" category for the 2016 Book Riot Read Harder challenge. As was the case with the other book, this one included gorgeous drawings that were integral to the story and enhanced my overall reading experience. This fairy tale, spun with a thread of dark magic, is simultaneously familiar and unlike any fairy tale you have previously read. A

This is a good story for anyone who likes fairy tale retellings. It is a mash up of a couple fairy tales, but since this is such a short story I will consider it a spoiler to say which one aside from the obvious one.

Intriguing twist on Sleeping Beauty, with elegant, stylized illustrations. Won't give any spoilers--Gaiman's version is worth the read.
