This was still a 5 star read for me. It is such an engrossing read. Feyre is strong because she has to be, and I think that's why I find her so relatable. I do think that she was an enabler for her family though. I didn't like Nesta at all. She was such a b*tch to Feyre and for what? I would have understood acting that way toward her father, since he basically let his daughter take responsibility for the family instead of stepping up more.

To be fair, I'm not the target demographic for this book. Yes, I love me a good id/ego/superego love triangle (shoutout to Sonny/Brenda/Jax way back in the way back!), but I'm not a high fantasy fan. Still, my quibbles with this book have nothing to do with genre and everything to do with lazy writing.
