Oh. My. Gods! This book was just so freaking amazing and I have no words. I literally wanted to scream when I got to the last page because it was so perfect. I thought I loved Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, but I might actually have a greater fondness for this sequel.

Alright, where to begin with this?

We join the peculiar gang right where the first book left off, and I was kind of surprised by how easily I slipped back into the story. I read Miss Peregrine's about 2.5 years ago,

It's been a while since I'd read the first book, so the photos introducing the children at the beginning of this second book really helped with refreshing my mental image of them. Kudos to the author for having quite a large cast and somehow have them be able to maintain distinct personalities. I grew to love Bronwyn, and little Olive, and even if her appearance was very brief, the Hollow Girl herself on the book cover, Sam. This is one of those series that I feel like the weird person for not liking. I'm not sure what all the hype is about. The first book was just ok....and I'm 1/3rd through this one and bored. Time to move it on. ...more
