Zeejane just drops this in another thread as if it's not HUGE news and we shouldn't all be floored by it and full-on discussing it!

So? Here's the only information I found out. Set to release on February 8, 2022.

Anybody else have more info? Anybody want to speculate what will be new?

970 This morning i finished Our Ancestors: The Cloven Viscount, The Baron in the Trees, The Non-Existent Knight by Italo Calvino. I very much enjoyed "The Baron in the Trees." "The Non-Existent Knight" brought the overall score down for me.

970 I just finished Alamut by Vladimir Bartol.

This was a wonderful book. The history part of it can be a little dry, but as the history of something I don't know much about (Muslim divergence of Shiite/Sunni/Ismaili) it was welcome. But the whole thing, when read as a fictional novel, is very readable and very entertaining/engrossing. It's going into my top 10 if not top 5.

Congrats. That's a big achievement!
970 I chose to go with Alamut set in 1094.

Sounds good to me. I look forward to reading them. I would say just hide the spoilers. Because I will be interested in your little thoughts on books I have not read but would be afraid to click a spoiler link.... know what I mean?

:D

We like Diane... So she will just have miss the last word of the last book, maybe...
970 This sounds like it will be a fun adventure. I look forward to following along with you....

However, I have a question. How will you treat spoilers in your reviews?

I avoid reading older book discussions from before I started reading the group reads because I know spoilers slip into those. (Is that the real reason I join all the group reads now? hmmmm).

I'll add my recommendations when I'm not on mobile, the app seems to lack features."

Middlemarch was a great audiobook.

But be careful with Infinite Jest. It can be listened to, but depends how you acquire it. It should come with a PDF that includes the endnotes. If you get it from the library it likely won't. The endnotes are an important part of that book.
