Eileen wrote: "Oooh, I just got the second book, so maybe I'll read that! Thanks!"All good :)
Eileen wrote: "I'm so excited! I just got the ARC for the second book!!!!"Same!! I loved The Extraordinaries and I'm hoping to read its sequel after my current read
Eileen wrote: "Hey does anyone have a good suggestion for a book where "Everyone's Gay"?
The closest I can think of is Outlawed, but I already read it and it's not quite EVERYONE. Just a lot."In The Extraordinaries basically everyone is gay. Nick's dad is single but his sexuality was never really touched on.
Eileen wrote: "Oooh, I like Gayle Forman. I haven't read anything by her in a while! I ended up listening to We are the Ants last night until I finished. It was so sad but so good. The whole story was sad, but it..."Ahaha hopefully you didn't stay up too late reading! I've read If I Stay and I liked that one a lot. I think We Are Inevitable is very different in terms of the narration from the few pages I just read.
Eileen wrote: "Huh. The premise reminds me of We are the Ants, which I'm listening to right now and should be going to bed but I can't seem to stop. I'm hoping the book ends with a non-tragic ending, but so far i..."Ooh nice! I'm going to enjoy We Are Inevitable which isn't a LGBTQ+ book as far as I know but it's by Gayle Forman so I know I'll be getting all the feels!!
Eileen wrote: "Anyone have suggestions for Tragic Ending or Everyone's Gay? If I can do those two, I can get the Perfect category!"Okay I just read I Hope You Get This Message (which also is the BOTM) and it has an open ended ending which you can definitely interpret as tragic ending

Eileen wrote: "I just finished an ARC for Shaun David Hutchinson, Before We Disappear and I loved it! I can't wait for it to be released -- I want to listen to the real audiobook ..."Ooh that book is on my TBR! You're so lucky you got an ARC! I'm so glad it's enjoyable and you liked it. I was about to read The State of Us by the same author which is kind of like a YA Red White and Royal Blue but I never got around to reading it.

I'm almost finished with the book and I'm honestly struggling to see how it would end or how anything would get resolved. For about 300 pages the story went
around the plot and not
towards the plot. It's only now on page 350 that I feel like we're getting somewhere. I have no idea how to rate this.
Eileen wrote: "I already read They Both Die at the End or I would totally read that. Hmm...I'm running out of time, but it's still fun trying to find books that fit, lol!"I found this list on Goodreads of M/M books that have tragic endings. I'll link it here:
https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/3... I don't know if it helps though. Apparently "I Wish You All the Best" "Birthday" and "The Bridge" all are tragic too (don't know about tragic ending though)
Eileen wrote: "But neither is lgtbq?"Oh whoops I didn't realise that 😅 okay in terms of LGBTQ+ tragic endings hmmm More Happy Than Not and They Both Die at the End are really sad books. Both are by Adam Silvera. Maybe try one of those? I think They Both Die at the End is more tragic ending though, More Happy Than Not is just tragic the whole way through.
Eileen wrote: "Anyone have suggestions for Tragic Ending or Everyone's Gay? If I can do those two, I can get the Perfect category!"Romeo and Juliet maybe or Mockingjay for Tragic Ending?
Tali wrote: "I am so behind on my reviews this month so will be updating over the next few days. I think I'm ticking off for Gravity. Does anyone have any villainous recs?"No worries! A Darker Shade of Magic has an epic villain and so does Illuminae, A Curse So Dark and Lonely and Red Queen :)

So far, I'm really enjoying this book. It's told in 3 perspectives and I honestly thought there'd only be one or two that I'd really like. I actually like them all and they all have their own distinct personalities and voices as well as their own character arcs which I think will intermingle at some point. The book's written in such a way that I KNOW my heart will be crushed at some point, it's just that emotional already and I'm only 102 pages in!!

Eileen wrote: "Oh my goodness, Carry the Ocean is absolutely beautiful! I loved it so much! I am about to buy the second book (because my library doesn't have it) because I love Jeremey and Emmett..."Ooh nice! Glad you enjoyed it :)
Eileen wrote: "I just started Carry the Ocean and wow, I would keep on reading if I didn't have to go to sleep (it's 1:37 am right now, lol). It's definitely LGBTQ+ but it's also mental health/dis..."Nice! I love books like that!
