The prompts all are tailored to LGBTQ+ books. If the book you entered is not an LGBTQ+ book then you can't get points for it from the prompts. For example, if you entered your book with the prompt of "Imaginary World" but it's not an LGBTQ+ book then it won't earn the 2 points from completing the prompt. If it is an LGBTQ+ book that has an imaginary world then it would earn the 2 points. The same rules apply with all the prompts. Also, you can only use a prompt once otherwise the prompt points for the second entry with that prompt won't count!
The books for the readathon can be as long as you like. You earn more points anyway the longer the book is. We strongly encourage you to read YA books though since this is a YA book club. Only books finished in June will count. If you started the book in May but finished it in June that's completely valid too. You can earn points for the team through page points and other factors listed below.

Yay! So glad you liked it! I read this book with my irl book club and they said it was slow at the start too. I think it was after the 90-132 pages mark that things really went going.

Ooh nice! :)

Definitely! I hated Ashley's friends especially the "head girl" of the group who's name I forgot. She was horrible from the start with her micro-aggressions and racist slurs. I'm really glad that Ashley stood up against her at the end.

Exactly! What did you think of LaShawn and Ashley's friends?

It definitely was an eye opener but I see your point. I read it and reviewed it a while ago so a few minor details are a bit hazy but I thought it revealed a lot about racism in our society.

Ooh nice! I should check this author out too!

It would! The whole book has amazing imagery! It was as if I could see everything play out perfectly in my mind! I can't wait for Flash Fire though. July can't come soon enough XD

Yay! I'm glad to hear it! It was slow at the very beginning but I think after the 92 pages mark it started to really pick up. The book still remains my favourite book to date XD

Exactly! I got this book as an ARC too last year (Thanks NetGalley XD) and I agree with you on basically all your points. At times it was really overwhelming but overall, it was a pretty good book!

YAY!! Congrats!

Ashley as a character, is seen as one of the "popular" girls from school and is one of the only black girls in her friend group. Most of her friends in that group are toxic and use microagressions to undermine Ashley as one of "them" or something "other" and always make the effort to make Ashley feel submissive to those girls.
I also liked LaShawn who seemed really sweet. Unfortunately he was the victim of one of Ashley's friend group's schemes which has left Ashley feeling like she's in the wrong. You could see her guilt the whole way through the book.

Yessss I can't wait to see more of her in King of Scars! She truly gets a redemption arc :)

Yep!

Ooh nice that means that we have two people tied at No. 1 :D

Yes! I loved Nikolai when he first appeared and Zoya too (even though she's a mean character). I thought the Darkling's relationship with Alina was... questionable to say the least which was why I liked Mal's and Alina's more (although not by much simply because I didn't like their characters).
