88432 I don't care which path we choose, but I'm reading a Lily Bard book right now (on path B). But if path A looks more appealing, that's fine too. I haven't looked closely at the requirements. That one just jumped out at me. Anxious to hear what you all think!

88432 The April mini-challenge is starting to pop up in some of the groups. There's a lot of info over on team Nancy Drew... I don't know how to link to it--sorry!

But it looks like it's Choose Your Own Adventure style and we need to choose a path...

88432 Will there be an April mini-challenge? I'm near the end of two books, so I was just curious.

88432 Poongothai--
When you are rearranging March, I think this book will count for green...if you need it. It's approx 54% green. I read it in March, just in case it's helpful.

It sounds tedious and takes some of the joy out of reading. "I'd like to start this, but I'm not sure if it will count and I haven't heard from the captains group..." I think the challenge for me is how to share this feedback (even for next year) without seeming like we're complaining about something the mods and captains have put a lot of work into.

It's a fun challenge, but knowing for sure which colors would count would make it more enjoyable/easier to participate.

Again...thanks to the mods/captains for working through this.

88432 Well, thank you for rearranging this for us, Poongothai... I do feel like it's been extra work/stress for you.

88432 I really think they need to clarify this for next year...either use tin eye or don't. The danger is that the challenge gets so bogged down with rules or it gets too difficult to determine what counts that it becomes frustrating and people stop participating. I think the premise of this challenge is very fun, but it's frustrating when you can't figure out what will count. This book didn't count for red because of tin eye... A Load Of Old Bones (Reverend Oughterard Mystery #1) by Suzette A. Hill .

I have two others that seem obviously red that tineye won't count. I would like it if the team just agree "yep, that looks green" and we could trust each other's common sense. (For whatever my opinion is worth)

Were we able to find another green book for March?

(Note: not meaning for this to sound gripey. I still think it's been fun... I'm just sharing my experience with the colors.)

If you have time, let me know what they think. Not the end of the world if they don't "count" for red, but we have so many red cards!

88432 Sometimes I really dislike tineye. I asked a few of my co-workers...what color would you say these books are? They all said red. Not according to tineye...
Roar by Cecelia Ahern
Good Riddance by Elinor Lipman

🤷
(ROAR especially. It looks Scarlet red! The other is a little bit orangey... but still red to me.)

P.S. Happy April, everyone! 😉

88432 My April is crazy busy, but I've found a few short books and a couple of audiobooks for when I'm driving. I also have a few that I've started that I'll finish this week. I should still be able to get some books in.

That would be great! Post here if you don't think you'll get through it. I could always finish mine and we could try to reshuffle as a plan B.

I'm struggling to come up with a 6. I could probably finish Gingerbread by Helen Oyeyemi tomorrow... I have about 70 pages left, but it doesn't work for six. 😕

Could we rearrange somehow?
