Thanks for joining us, Elinor! It's been a pleasure getting to know you.

Is book games replacing TT?

Oh, the pressure!! (Just kidding, I'll get it finished)

I've been doing lots of reading, but very little updating. I need to catch up! Hope everyone is doing well.
I'll try to get myself back on track with GR. :)

We are having some severe weather, and I'm completely without power. Fortunately, my Kindle was charged and it's backlit. 😂 I will finish an unplanned book today,
Everyone Is Watching. It's about the creation of a reality TV show. It has a revenge theme. There are multiple synonyms for villain and probably for wicked. It obviously has people working in the TV/film industry.
As soon as our power comes back, I'll try to take a look at the spreadsheet. I am planning to finish the book within the hour.

Oh! The book I'm nearly done with has a main character working in the film industry! #54

I can claim the cozy mystery task on the mini with Maui Murder by Jasmine Webb.
I also added The Guest to the "character is hiding a secret" task. It's revealed that one of the main characters is hiding a huge secret fairly early in the book, but I was afraid it might be a spoiler and the book is pretty new...so I just said that he has a secret in my explanation.

Life got really busy for a couple of days after I started The Guest by B.A. Paris. It's fairly dark, so I'll look and see if it will work for something. I haven't spent a ton of time looking at the mini yet, just skimmed it. I'll try to take a closer look before it starts.

Totally fine! And I'm done with it. Just haven't worked up the nerve to delve into that spreadsheet yet. 😂

I think I found a short book for green 6.
Small Things Like These

OF COURSE my book with the title printed in giant green letters becomes available on April 2nd. Of course it does. ;)

And excellent work on the cocktails, Mel!

Happy Easter to those who celebrate! We've been so crazy busy, I'm hoping to have a quiet day at home. I'm anxious to read my April books. Next week should be a good reading week. 😊

Great! My friend is letting me borrow her copy and she said it was hard to put down.
I started
The Golden Spoon for my black cover book and I think it's going to be good. I was pretty tired, so I just read the first couple of chapters, but it seems like my type of book! Cozy, but with an edge. We'll call it Cozy+.
Does this seem red enough? It would work for Skip or 2.

Jhmingos wrote: "Denise, how did you like Murder Road? I'm a big fan of Simone St. James and didn't realize that was her newest book."I liked it! Her books are so great for sub-plots and interesting characters. This one reminded me a little of the x-files.

Orange Sunset on the Beach is probably the cocktail I'd be most likely to order, but I am really curious about a Genghis Khan's Unplanned Texas Detour. I might order that just to see what it looked like/tasted like.
Also, I need to read
The Vacancy in Room 10 relatively soon. I got the ARC for this one. Do you want me to squeeze it in for March or would it be better to wait until April? Here's the cover.

Also, I've finished The Senator's Wife and am a couple of chapters away from finishing The Clinic. I'm struggling with Goodreads on my phone more than usual. 🙄 Tomorrow I'm flying home, so I might try again or just update the SS on Monday. Hope everyone is well!
