Melindam wrote: "How long can you keep the book? Will it last until the Mini starts (14 Feb)?"Yep! I downloaded it. π

I was trying to power through Onyx Storm, but I might have to break it up with another book. I'm not really feeling it. (I will finish though...I want to know the ending)
Jhmingos wrote: "I think a lot of us have that problem :) Do you have any plans for what you're going to do with those books?"I will probably donate to our library. They save me a ton of money every year!

My husband and I have decided we need to thin out our book collection a little bit. Our shelves are full, but we keep buying them and they're kind of taking over. I usually don't enjoy this type of thing, but I'm taking the opportunity to look for color covers for the rest of the challenge. π

Hopefully we can get another player instead.":( That's too bad.

Denise, the rule for a setting is that it must be at least 50%"Hmm...not sure if I should even count it for that then. They are in Norfolk (the site of a natural disaster) until about page 138. Then there's a lot of talk of it, but they are sort of forced to leave. So wow. Just a standalone then. ππ
Ohmygoodness and we only need ONE standalone?? At least I made my "Oops!" choice on Feb. 2nd. It was a practice book. I'm ready now!

Sooo...apologies. I had a little road trip last weekend and I wanted to find a book that I could have both the physical copy and the audiobook for the car. I chose
Jenny James Is Not a Disaster because it looked light and fun. It was, for the most part! But it was also the absolute worst Uno book. Every character name was D, J, L, C... It was set between Norfolk, Oxford, and Cornwall but I felt pretty comfortable calling the setting Norfolk because that's where the main event in the book occurs and it's where the MCs call home. I will pay more attention to the names next time! :)

Just popping in to say hey! So excited to be underway!

I have to drive home from a track meet on Saturday, so I'll probably start with something I can get on audio.

It looks bluer than my blue book. π

Teamies,
As we can decide on this as a team, what do you think? Yellow enough?"I think if you call the skin yellow it is, but without the skin probably not more than 50%. π«€
Melindam wrote: "Denise,
you may have sold me the Mary Jane book as well. Just checked it out and I may enjoy it. π"Ohhh I hope you like it. She has a new book coming out this year and I can't wait!

BOOK RECOMMENDATIONS:
π Any all-time favourite books or authors?
π Books you loved reading in 2024"
Okay, here I go π€
My all-time favourite author is Os..."Have you read
The First to Die at the End? I liked the first one, but haven't gotten to this one yet.

I loooved Garden Spells and First Frost!

If no one disputes these colors (and it's honestly fine if you do), I can claim 2 Blue (This Spells Love) and 6 green (One Big Happy Family).
Melindam wrote: "Also, we don't have to use tineye, just sayin'. π
I would only use it if I'm unsure about the % of a certain colour."Tineye is not my friend, but I don't trust my own eyes. Especially for the dark yellow, greenish-blue, reddish-orange books. I'm convinced my eyes see things differently than the rest of the world. Or that my mind is willing them to be the color I want. π

I was so excited to post a better green book cover and I think my eyes are just broken. This really looks green to me! Tineye says it's blue. It's a Christmas book so maybe I'm just willing it to be green?
I give up...for now. π
