Some teams may not have finished finalising their spreadsheets for February yet, but we are currently sitting at 12th place. Despite that, there is only 95 points between us and 1st place so it could all change at any moment!

I finished my first book for the month earlier and made a small dent in my next book (it's 800 pages long so will take a bit of time). Once I get closer to finishing my current book, I'll look at claiming a coloured card if we have any left unclaimed at that point.

March is now underway!

I just finished my last book for February. Now I'm going to work on getting a good start on my books I have planned for March.

I will definitely finish my book. It may not be as soon as I had hoped (initially planned to finish it today) as I have had next to no sleep in the past 3 days. After tonight, I'm off work for a few days so I will have time to finish it in between the sleep I will hopefully get. I dont have much of the book left so it shouldn't take long.

I'm sorry you got the flu but I'm glad you are feeling better Karolyn! We have lots of overflow books to play with so it if you need to swap some books out it shouldn't be an issue. If we need anything specific, I could probably find a book to fit and squeeze it in.

As we are nearing the end of the month, can you please let us know ASAP if you won't be able to finish any of your claimed books in time so we can do a bit of shuffling or have time to read something that works in the unlikely event that one of our many overflow books do not fit.

As a reminder, any books you don't finish this month can be used for March.

I've updated my post with what has been claimed. Gwen - Heather claimed the 2 green so I've put yours down as a WD4.

I'm working the next couple of nights, but I'll try and get on after work to update my post with any more claims. I've got 4 of our 9 reverses covered. I could cover more if needed, but I don't like to claim too much at once. The same with coloured covers. I don't have any apart from the one I have claimed for a WD4 that I urgently want to read, but I can find something later on for any remaining ones.

The hands for March have been dealt. I've moved them across to the tracking sheet, but here is a breakdown of what we are dealing with.

Only cards finished after the round begins can be used. Books started in February can be used.

I'm going to finish my last one for the cards when I get home and if I remember rightly that will finish off another hand for us.

I second what Heather said, don't worry too much about your books. It's looking like we will have plenty on the overflow to use in the event that some books won't be finished in time.
So keep focusing on your mental health and if reading your books is part of that then that's great, if not then that is fine too. Just focus on what helps for you.

Gwen - I can't see Fornever Yours,Unbreak My Heart, Dear Enemy, Friends Without Benefits, Professor Feel Good or The Princess on your uno shelf. Can you check you added them please?

The mini has offically begun (actually began about 6 hours ago)!

I've finished my first book and I'm hoping to get one or two more done tonight.

I finally have a couple of nights off work. I thought I might have to work tonight too (which would have been my 7th night in a row) as one of my colleagues is on holiday and another is off sick. I ended up working on my own last night with someone that works in the day sleeping in one of the hotel rooms so I had someone on site in case of an emergency. I didn't get much sleep before that shift as it was my first working alone and I just kept imagining all the things that could go wrong.
Anyway it was a quiet night and they found cover for the next two nights so I'm going to be catching up on some sleep.

On the reading front, I have one book that I literally have one chapter left of and at least two more that I am nearing the end of so I intend to finish those off tomorrow once the mini has started.

Sorry to keep rambling about work, but it has been a stressful week. I'm looking forward to working less nights soon which will give me more reading time!

If you are able to add the book information to the spreadsheet you dont have to do a completion post, but of course if you prefer to do a completion post that is fine too.

I claimed one or two as well as tasks for the books I am currently reading. My plan is to get as close to finishing as many of them before the mini starts and then once the mini officially begins, I'll just finish them off.

There was one book I claimed for a task that didn't actually fit any cards, but we seem to be doing well on that front and it is a shorter book so I should be able to finish it in a day.

Okay, so I've found at least one book for each of the tasks that want a specific word in the title. There's no way I would be able to read them all, but I can help cover some of those. Some of the books would work for other tasks so we dont necessarily have to use them for the words if they fit harder tasks.

One book I found was called Beasts of Prey and from the cover alone would work for the words beast or prey, it had a snake on the cover and it was mostly a black cover. I think the writing was white. And that's just from the cover! I love it when a book can work for several tasks so it can be moved around if needed.

I've actually ended up with some time at work, so I'm going to look up some books on my library app to see if I can get any for those words in the title or series name for 10 points.

I've had a couple of stressful nights at work and I've still got 3 more (including tonight) before I get any time off. I'll try and find time before bed one day to have a look at my books, but I'm pretty exhausted so may end up sleeping as soon as I get home. If it has to wait until my days off then I'll just work with whatever hasn't been claimed.

It's not looking like I will finish any of my books until after the mini starts so hopefully the 3 I am working on fits at least one task each.
