Kol stands there, not moving and expressionless, he makes sure the ice is still firmly in place. His face is a mask. Kol walks over to Rory and says not unkindly, but there is no warmth to it, "You looks tired, maybe you should go sleep, i'm making dinner so i can get you down in a few hours to eat with me and Jace". Jace looks up at his dad, even he can feel the tension, Jace takes his dad's hand and squeezes, Jace also knows how hard it as been for his dad no matter how hard he'd tried to hide it. The night before Jace had climbed into his parents bed, claiming he'd had a nightmare but really he just wanted to feel more like a family again.

Ever knows he wants to rest, and so does she, but things need to be said. If it was just them then it wouldn't matter, but now Kasper is the most important thing. Ever hits Brayden softly and says "Den, we have to talk seriously for a bit, we can't just have sex, amazing sex, all the time and hope it will solve everything".

Ever is breathing hard, she stretches her arms above her head. She feels sensitive everywhere, they've had so much sex, but she never feels like it's enough, she again wonders if that will last. Ever rolls onto her side and place and hand on Brayden's chest, the other hand reaches up to trace his lips idally.

Kol had been going about as normally as possible for the last three days. He'd kept trying to get through to Rory. For Jace. Only for Jace. Kol ignores the pain at her not lying next to him at night. Tries not to let his heart break when he gets home from work or has something funny to say and she isn't there. Kol doesn't let the ice around his heart melt. Kol is making dinner for Jace who is sitting at the table doing some maths for school, Kol is helping him at the same time. Kol tells himself he doesn't miss her presence around him, he can push his emotions away, he did for the first 16 years of his life, he didn't give a shite about caring then, or being loved, and he doesn't care now. Or at least he can pretend.

Ever loves the sound of her name on his lips, she moans and holds onto him tighter, with a few more thrusts Ever finds her release and she gasps out "Oh, den, Brayden...".

Ever almost screams as Brayden fills her, she meets his thrusts hard and her mind can barely comprihend anything around her. Ever wonder for a moment if it will always be like this, if there will even be an always for them. Ever brings her head up to Brayden's, she is already close to her peak as he slams into her.

Kol see's Jace's expression and his anger melts, it isn't fair to take it out on Jace. Kol goes and picks up Jace, he kisses his cheek and says calmly "Don't worry Jace, everything will be alright. Im so sorry son, so sorry, i love you very much", he holds Jace close. Jace snuggles into his father's arms and lets his dad hold him. Jace has always looked up to his dad, he knows all his friends are jelous of Jace bcause he's got the best dad, the one who's actually pretty cool, who plays with him and enjoys it. Jace loves his dad, he wants his mum to come back, to say she loves his dad too and then they can be a family again.

Ever gasps as he shoves into her harder, the pace is fast and a little rough the way they both like it most of the time. Ever stares intently into Brayden's face, this is all them, thier connection, her body explodes with pleasure at him being inside her.

Kol doesn't go after Rory. Kol is too angry, he'd do something he would regret later. Kol clenches his hads into fists, he calls after her "This is it Rory, I love you more than anything, but if your really going to be this...this SELFISH as to leave then thats it, thats really it". Kol can feel his heart turning to stone all over again, he' felt that way before he met Rory, and it is over taking him now. Kol slams back into the house.

Kol runs after Rory, Jace comes running up to him and Kol bends down to Jace's level, he says "Stay here Jace, im going to get mummy ok", he kisses Jace and then heads out after Rory. Kol takes hold of Rory's arm and spins her around to face him roughly, "Rory, stop being like this. I didn't cheat on you, you can't seriously think I would.I.LOVE.YOU. How many times do I hve to say it before you BELEIVE IT?" he says

Kol is on the brink, he had always had a short temper, maybe it is from his father, or just how he grew up in Ireland, he'd needed to be tough to survive, but he can't lose it now. Kol breathes deeply, in and out like he'd been taught by Grace, but it isn't really working. Kol grabs hold of Rory's arms and grips them tight, "It's bloody true Ror, I would never cheat on you, me and Ever are just mates, you KNOW that. We slipped on the water and wet sand, why do you doubt me so much" he says fiercly.

Kol throws his hands up in the air and shouts "What? I have never wanted another woman, never. You know I wouldn't...cheat on you Rory, don't be radiculous, Evet just fell and I was helping. Besides how could you think I would do anything with OUR SON downstairs.". Kol is angry, it shows clearly on is face, how could Rory doubt him? After all they'd been through, after all he'd done, how could she believe him capable of that?

Ever gets off Kol quickly and wraps a towel around herself. Kol scrambbles up and runs in the room after Rory. He takes hold of her wrist firmly and says "That was nothing Ror, I swear, what are you DOING?" he practically shouts the last part. Kol face is mixture of desperation, anger and confusion.

Ever and Kol had just settled Jace and Kasper downstairs, all four of them had been at the beach all day and had been completely covered in wet sand. Kol and Ever had given the boys showers and turnt on a disney movie for them. Ever heads back upstairs with Kol, Ever says "I'll get in the shower quickly then you can alright Nightling", she smirks at Kol. Kol grins back and says "Well take as much time as you want Ev's, you definitely need the clean up", Ever hits him playfully and they both laugh. Kol goes into Ever's room, he takes his really uncomfortable sand covered t-shirt off ready to get in a quick shower after Ever. Kol thinks back over the day, it had been really great, fun like it always is with Ever, she makes everything seem a little less crap, she doesn't pretend though, she says what she thinks and Kol likes that. Kol still wishes Rory had been there, he misses her, but they had both been so busy with work lately and Kasper, they hardly get any time alone togther. They are fighting a lot more as well, it's driving Kol mental, but it's just stress. Just then he hears a sliding noise and then a crash. Kol runs to the bathroom worried Ever has really hurt herself, Ever has fallen over in the shower, he can see blood coming from somewhere, he ignores her protests of telling him she's fine. Kol opens the shower door and tries to help Ever out of the shower, he grabs a towel. But then they both slip on the water that is everywhere and they fall down together, Ever starts to laugh and tries to clamber off Kol.
