Let's say that Spins 1, 2, 3, and 4 are shelves and Spin 5 is a "Bankrupt" - so in this case, for Spin 5, the player would only have to deduct 10% of the pages for the books used based on Spin 2 - Spin 4; no need to figure to deduct 10% of any pages associated with a Spin 1 book, because it's not being used for completion (because there were enough pages for completion without it and all completed spins were still consecutive); is that correct?
Thanks!
Please check whether these books can be confirmed from the "Love from Afar" shelf:Love From Afar 1x: A Countess Below Stairs by Eva Ibbotson - page 23
Love From Afar 1x: Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins - page 23
Love From Afar 1x: Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins - page 22
Love From Afar 1x: And Only to Deceive by Tasha Alexander - page 22
Love From Afar 1x: Rosemary and Rue by Seanan McGuire - page 22
Actually I did find multiple books from "Love from Afar" that are also already on my to-read shelf - by the expedient of going to the last pages for the shelf, rather than the first one. Here they are, in case this helps anyone else:* A Countess Below Stairs by Eva Ibbotson - page 23
* Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins - page 22 (Catching Fire on page 23)
* And Only to Deceive by Tasha Alexander - page 22
* Rosemary and Rue by Seanan McGuire - page 22
I'll check if these are in the Google spreadsheet yet, and ask for them to be confirmed, if they're not.
Any books or authors on the "Love from Afar" shelf that people would recommend? I don't read the romance genre that often, and when I do, I'm usually looking for the book to have "something else" as well - things like: strong characterization; characters coming of age or "finding a place" for themselves in the world; character establishing a livelihood (restaurant, photography studio, artist); subplots involving other characters than just the lead couple; a mystery to solve... (not all of these in any one book, obviously, but just to give an idea of a "something else" that adds interest for me.) Thanks!

But, I am still trying to figure it all out. Is there a penalty for those who do not own any properties, (as I do not, yet) - if they do not finish a book on time?

My Bookopoly Shelf"
Here they are!
4:50 from Paddington
The Book of Lies
The Island of Dr. Moreau"
Thank you Paola. I am still deciding which one of the three to use for this roll/move. Although I think the property is currently open for purchase, I decided not to try for that this time. So, I'm holding off on my choice for now, to see which fits best with other challenges, a little bit later this month.
Tien wrote: "I've landed on Zero at the Bone, could I please have 3 picks from my shelf?"Here you go, Tien:
P: Zero at the Bone
Mississippi Roll - a recently added one
The Road to Winter - a not too long one
Acorna's Quest - first one when listed alphabetically by title
So I am hoping to watch the Properties to Purchase discussion, to get a better idea how it works, from those of you who've played before - and to see how much in demand they are - because if it's going to be a real competitive thing at first then I'll probably hold off for a while and see if something opens up later or is still open after the dust clears - lol.Anyway, it appears to still be locked, but it should be open now, right?
Thanks!

Here are 3 choices for P: The Hunchback of Notre-Dame:

Love Her Madly - Here's a not-to-long one

Amanda A wrote: "Can I please get three picks from my shelf for Mind of My Mind? Thanks!"Here are 3 choices for P: Mind of my Mind -
Artemis - one of your more recently added books
Merry and Bright - looks like a quick read, and seasonal
All the Crooked Saints - a book that we have in common on our to-read shelves
