ok, everyone's series are sound so good, I've added a bunch to my TBR. Thanks for that. It's not like I need another book added to that monstrosity. LOL

Great review, I've added that one to my list.

That stinks, Susan. I give you kudos for finishing it. I hope you get to enjoy whatever book you read next.
I decided to keep cracking away at the In Death Series by JD Robb for this one.Missing in Death (In Death, #29.5) 9/8/18
*4 STARS*
I really liked this one but didn't love it. Most likely because it was a short story and filler in between main books. Therefore, it didn't have the flushed out feel to it that the other books in the series do. This one felt more superficial. It was hard for me to get invested trying to solve the murder like I usually do because everything was moving so quickly.
But, I love Eve, Roarke and the gang, and I love Susan Ericksen narrating so mostly I'm happy
Fantasy in Death (In Death, #30) 9/10/18
*5 STARS*
This was just about perfect. The sci-fi/futuristic part of the series was really on display in this one where the author really took the limitless possibilities that the future may have with tech right to edge of what my imagination could conceive. It added such an interesting layer to the story and I loved that. I was pretty sure who the murderer was and how he/she did it, but didn't know the in-depth how of the way it was done. That was so interesting. The author really has such a creative mind.
I was glad to see Roarke get taken care of for once. Loved how Eve got him to go along with her care of him at the end.
And of course, Susan Ericksen is the goddess of audio and did an AMAZING job narrating this one. I expected no less.
Question:I'm reading a book #29.5. Now I know that we can add together the 29 to make it 11 but would this book just be 11 or would it be 11.5? Do we add the .5 in this instance?
Thanks!
Ok I'm In!Trim That TBR
1. How many?!?! 5 books
Look at the total number of your TBR, take the last digit and read that many books off your TBR. If you have a "0", read 10 books.
Try to read what's already on your TBR prior to starting this challenge. You may concentrate on a certain TBR shelf if you have a number of TBR shelves.
1. It's in His Kiss 9/5/18
2. Where Lightning Strikes 9/7/18
3. Forever and a Day 9/8/18
4. Missing in Death 9/8/18
5. Fantasy in Death 9/10/18
2. Popularity (5 books)
Sort your TBR by "number of ratings" and read:
a. Books with the highest number of ratings
1. The Hobbit
2. Vampire Academy 10/14/18 (492,134 Ratings)
3. In Bed with a Highlander 9/16/18 (24,643 ratings)
b. Books with the least number of ratings
Try to read the same number of books (a+b) as you did for (1) above, if not more.
1. Lucky Stiff 10/4/18
2. Promises of Seduction: The Durango Affair\Ian's Ultimate Gamble
3. Monstrosity (1 book)
Read 1 (one) of the 5 thickest books on your TBR.
Yes, the biggest book and just the One. If the thickest is 1,000+ pages but the 5th thickest is only 300+ pages, DO choose the book closest to 1,000+ pages
The Fiery Cross (1,456 pages)
4. Catch Up (5 books)
Read that last book in the series!
Or at least, catch up to the latest instalment.
You must have read at least the first book before September 2018. Again, try to read the same number of book you read for (1), if not more.
1. On the Way to the Wedding (Bridgertons, #8) 10/12/18
2. Ocean Light (Psy-Changeling Trinity, #2; Psy-Changeling, #17) 10/13/18
3. Scourged (The Iron Druid Chronicles #9) 10/12/18
4. Indulgence in Death 9/13/18
5. #Selfie 10/4/18
More Than Crave You (More Than Words #4)
Salvaged (Saints of Denver, #4)
GOAL: 16 BOOK MINIMUM
I read From Gods and finished on 8/25/18. It's the first book in a series where the main characters are half-blooded gods and goddess, descended from Greek gods and goddesses. I thought that the premise was interesting but felt the book itself fell short. The fight scenes weren't believable and the ended was tidied up way too quickly. And then just when you thought things were coming to an end, there was a big cliffhanger to try and get to the next book.
I'm not sure that the author succeeded in getting me to the next book. But it's possible that I may look at it if I need another mythology book in the future and I'm out of options.
I just feel the YA books that I've read with mythology in them have been done so much better.
This one was only given 3 stars by me since it was just OK.

That's actually a very good idea. I may have to do that one day to make my TBR a little more manageable.
Congrats, Stacey!Wow, Lagullande! You only have 7 pages of TBR! I can't even imagine. I have 200. LOL
I'm so glad that people are finding lots to read for this one.I think I'll likely get back to trying to tackle the In Death Series. It seems like that series is never ending.
I'll try to get at least two of them down next month so it will be Missing in Death and Fantasy in Death for sure and maybe Indulgence in Death if I have time.
Also, I'm also thinking about starting the Women's Murder Club series. We'll see how the timing goes
Hi all! I've been nominated as the shelf picker for September 2018 and I've picked:Police Procedural
I'm hoping that everyone can find something to read next month!
