8565 I chose Kicking It, an anthology of paranormal stories. I loved it and sailed through it reading several stories a day! 4*

Many of the authors chosen for the book were unknown to me, so initially I was not sure what to expect. However, each story was so fun and interesting and different! I really ate this book up, and that is not usual for me with an anthology of stories.

It was also fun to note that the title made up the theme...each story had some element of spectacular boots!

I read this for the Monthly Shelf only.

I nominate: Urban Fantasy

From Doon With Death - I've liked Ruth Rendell in the past
Riding Lessons - this has also been on my TBR for a while, since I liked Water for Elephants
The Second Chair - this is book 10 in a series, so it seems like you must be enjoying the series"

Thanks for the pics, Joanna. You used the correct shelf (and I have corrected the link). Not sure exactly what happened to the link, but GR did act up in the middle of typing my post.

Although I want to read From Doon With Death, I have the other two on my desk. Riding Lessons is a library book and one of my LOST books, so I will probably go with it.

I own The Second Chair, so I can get to it later if need be. (It is one of my JRI books.)

It's not due until 8/11/20, so I think that is the one I will read.
