Feeling meh too but not so much so that I don’t want to finish the trilogy kwim?"
LOL. Dee, I am surprised that I intuitively knew what KWIM meant! Thanks for the grin today!

JAIL
The Extraordinary Life of Sam Hell - selected by me on 8/7/20"
Amy, the first time I read this post, I thought the title of your new thread was JAIL. LOL

Reading:
Liar's Poker: Rising Through the Wreckage on Wall Street for JRI
Ahab's Wife: Or, the Star-Gazer for JRI and Wheel 4
On deck but not started:
Harvest for LOST

We planned a trip up to Gold Coast for end of Sept but it's really NOT looking like it's going to happen! *sad face*"
OK...here goes:
The Silence of Bones - on my TBR
Spinning Silver - 4* for me
The Storyteller's Daughter - because it looks interesting...yikes! magical realism

Sister, daughter or just girls for you Bea:
The Sisters from Hardscrabble Bay
The Clockmaker's Daughter
Good Girl, Bad Girl
Thanks for the picks, Meg. You choose three books that I have planned for several games, so the choice is hard. I counted the games each has been planned for and came up with 8, 7, and 9. Good Girl, Bad Girl wins.

Currently The Mirror & the Light is not available in book form for me in my local library. I haven't looked in the Augusta one. BUT...the local library has it on CD ~ 30 discs! I wonder what it would be like to do the CD edition.

I'm in the same boat with Joanna. Although I have one caveat...please read Bringing Up the Bodies over at least 10 days while I work on Ahab's Wife, which I started today.

Many of the authors chosen for the book were unknown to me, so initially I was not sure what to expect. However, each story was so fun and interesting and different! I really ate this book up, and that is not usual for me with an anthology of stories.
It was also fun to note that the title made up the theme...each story had some element of spectacular boots!
I read this for the Monthly Shelf only.
I nominate: Urban Fantasy
