721 Lindsay Buroker writes in a Steampunk-esque world for her series The Emperor's Edge. The first book in the series is free on kindle.

Sadly, she's not an Aussie, but I've devoured everything in the EE series. :)

Not sure if I'll get to any of the books I picked. Oh well - they'll all get read for the AWW2016 challenge anyway :D

You Can't Shatter Me by Tahlia Newland

Both are Aussie authors and should be easy enough to get on kindle/kindle app

If you're willing to try a non-Aussie author I can highly highly recommend Red Clover by Florence Osmund
