Max translated for Jink. Jink nodded and turned to Zoe. He gave a soft purr in sympathy. Max knew she wanted no further questions. "You may stay here if you like," he said to Zoe. Then he turned to Jink.
"I will watch over her," Jink thought to Max. Max nodded and left the room. Jink looked at Zoe questioningly, wondering if she would stay.

Max relayed this to Jink. "How are you now half dragon?" he questioned, gently.

"I will not hurt you," cooed Max. "What is your name? Where did you come from?"
