Ain't gonna get it soon but looking forward to seeing the discussion.

I'm toggling between the ebook (while I'm at work) and a physical copy at home myself :)
That Fairyloot edition is so pretty!

I do this as well.
Anything under 100 and I feel like I'm cheating if I count it haha

Then I read Fairy Tale last year and was also disappointed.
I'm about 220 pages into 11/22/63 and I'm looving it so far.
Mild-ish spoiler for Part 2 regarding location of said story (view spoiler)
I just made it to part 3 and I need to get this out so bigger spoilers for part 2...
(view spoiler)

I've heard nothing but rave reviews so I'm hopeful I'll love it too.
Has anyone read other works from this author?

I plan to read this slowly through the next month since I'm working through some other tomes as well.
Happy June reading! :)

There are moments where I really enjoy the writing and it feels really immersive but I think Maite ruined it for me. I needed her to grow up a little by the end but I'm not sure she learned anything, haha.
I was also hoping for more between her and Elvis! But then by the end I was kinda like, Elvis buddy, you can do better haha.
I keep saying this author likely isn't for me but I'm almost certain if I run across another one of her novels at the thrift store I'd probably snag it!

I'm not disliking it per say, but it feels like this falls into the lower tier of "new adult" and that's just not where I want to spend my reading time, haha.
I like Elvis, because I think he still feels like a kid to me and I want to see him do better and develop into a better man.
Maite, annoys me as she's written as a 30 year old women but, to me, is still acting like a young adult that is simply refusing to grow up. And omg can she just take care of that cat! lol Don't even get me started on that poor bird.
I'm going to finish but I'm going to be mad at it while I do because this author tricked me again with a gorgeous cover and I reeeeaaalllly wanted to like this.

Next thing I knew, it was dark outside, my neck hurt and I realized I was 120 pages in and INVESTED. Lol.
Immediately hooked.
I only stopped because I had to go to work in the morning, haha.
I'm a big fan of classic King, and not read a thing of his in the last 10 years. I recently read Fairy Tale and was not a fan so I'm really looking forward to getting into something a little older :)

I've got quite the sailor mouth myself but I was surprised how explicit this one is from the get go and was a little put off, lol.
I really liked The Daughter of Dr Moreau beginning to end but was meh on Certain Dark Things so being about 30% into this, I'm certain I'll hit in the middle with this one.
I'm very curious to see how this builds.

Sorry I've been a little MIA this week due to a mild potential cancer scare for my oldest pup. But we got some test results today that were decent/pretty good for a 8yr old so I feel like I can finally breath a little easier!
Now maybe I can actually focus and read tonight! haha
I plan to catch up a bit this week so hope to contribute more once I'm into it :)

Have you read this author before?
I've read two others from her with one being awesome and the other meh, haha. So we'll see how this goes..

I've got some library books to get through before I get to this one so I'll start maybe like the 2nd week in May :) No rush!

I just finished and while I got misty eyed a few times I wasn't full crying while I was reading but now that I finished...full cry, all the tears. lol
I can't believe I waited like 2+ years to read this. Sitting on my shelf, just waiting.
UGH, sooo good! <3

I find myself smiling a lot through this overall and have tabbed the heck out of it, haha.
(view spoiler) and I love how the relationships have grown with so many different characters.
I really have no idea how this will all come to an end but I think I may plow through and finish this one today since this month is almost over!

I read this soon after it released and I liked it quite a bit and then maybe 60-70% in and I just got really mad at it. I remember being absolutely baffled at how popular it got, haha. But then again, I understood the interest because of that beautiful cover!
Happy reading!
