March has not been a good reading month for me, I need to knuckle down and finish Lucifer's Tears...I get started into it and something comes up - my parents are in town right now, so my reading this last week has been limited

we had a tie for Author of the Month between
Arnaldur Indridason and
Håkan Nesser - so a run-off poll will be going up momentarily

last day for nominations - i'll post the poll tomorrow

looks interesting, maybe a potential author of the month in the future

my
Helsinki White showed up today, so i'm reading
Lucifer's Tears - since I refused to read it before HW came out because of some of the reviews I read...yeah, i'm naughty...lol!

true...and I notice that a lot of ppl who post reviews on GR for some books also blog for review sites...mine have to be the same here, that I post there...so you can always tell which ones of mine are review sites and which ones are just my random musings

re: synopsis in reviews - I know for the one website I used to review for - we had to include a synopsis in as part of our review - not long and I normally took the blurb and reworked it...but yeah...

well boo ;) I do many writers have an on the cutting room floor kind of section on their website where they post outtakes...I just don't know how long they normally wait before posting (I'm using that far behind in the series that they have several more books out before I start)

would you consider posting those outtakes on your website? or not allowed?

i saw you gave it 3 stars...so we'll see ;)

that makes total sense to me - I probably never would have picked up snow angels if I hadn't been looking at the new hardcover releases in the library one day and literally didn't have anything that needed to be read (for other challenges, school etc)...which meant I never would have touched base with Naomi - when we both cursed the same girl out for LT spoilers...and so on and so forth

and to kick it off, i'm going to nominate
Håkan Nesser

So who all would you guys like to have featured as our author of the month in April? (trying to be a bit more organized here ;) )
Reminder, the author must have at least 3 books published (or scheduled to be published within the month
Nominations will open today and stay open until the 24th. We will vote from the 24th to the 31st.

i picked up
1222 at the library the other day, first one by this author, although I did see it was fairly far into the series, have the rest just not been translated

occasionally i'll use a written glossary - more so if i'm reading paperback rather than on my kindle because it is easier to find the stuff...and then only if I can't figure out in a common-sensicle kind of way what they are saying

lol naomi!!
i'm so fustrated that I can't take the 16th off as a mental health day liked planned...because my other 2 co-workers are out of the office that day - so not cool!

it was ok, but i'm not a total fan of financial crime books, so it was a bit hard for me to get completely invovled in it

So which of Jim's books are you guys going to read this month?
Inspector Vaara seriesSnow AngelsLucifer's TearsHelsinki White (due out March 15)

haven't read Cold Comfort, but I read Frozen Assets last year
