i had to put Ice Princess aside - it was interesting, but I couldn't listen to the book at work, too many distractions, so i'm going to try it on my drive (after I finish up my current pile of books)

has anyone heard of
Jens Amundsen - he looks to be a Norweigan writer who has some books available on Amazon

We haven't yet - she was nominated before and didn't win. U can nominate her next month if u want

Lol haha

yeah that's her - I remember one with her in hollywood and involving a budda and another her and prom - both of which I just found the descriptions for

ah ha - I think I was thinking of donna parker maybe

ok then, its neither of them...who the heck am i thinking of...

ahh, for some reason I had a young nancy drew stuck in my head, not an older one
I just remember some of the later trixie's when she was a senior in high school - prom/valedictorian and stuff - IIRC - unless I am mixing up my mysteries

I wouldn't say bad tempered, she was older, maybe more cynical at times - a teen in the ones i've read

Naomi - you are showing your age!! lol! did you see Trixie is starting to be released on Kindle?

there is a Goth person on CSI?? I know Abby on NCIS is Goth...

me too...it was released as Army Intelligence in Australia...much better title IMHO

I saw renaissance man and had visions of Danny Diveto in that old movie where he goes to teach on an army base and teaches the kids who need help Shakespeare...

i'm going to nominate
Anders Roslund and
Roslund Hellstrom who write the Grens & Sundkvist series - the first book is
The Beast

ok, so i'm running a bit late this month...
Who do you guys want to read for our July Author of the Month?
Nominations will be open until the 26th and we'll vote until the 30th.

that and defuckify - to de-fuck what is fucked up, are 2 of my favorite words - I believe they are in urban dictionary

right now, i'm on shore duty so I work a normal 8-5 job (although most days its more like 6am to 6pm, plus travel time...we'll see how reading time goes when I head back to sea...probably will be el-suckitude

it has its moments...I will say that Somalia is the armpit of the world...and after spending 4 months off the coast doing piracy ops, I can say that with great certinty...the Gulf, not as bad - Bahrain is fun, so is Jebel Ali. I also got to go to Qatar, Oman and Jordan on my last deployment

i'm in DC right now and in the Navy, I should be heading back to sea sometime next year - pending a transfer board, and kind of hoping to get a ship that does the Med deployments vice the Gulf - which I have seen more than enough of

ahh, we'll get you a shark cage ;)
