So our winner for August was
Åke EdwardsonWhat is everyone going to read this month?

Naomi and I have been talking and we are going to make a slight change to the Author of the Month and how they are chosen.
Instead of taking nominations each month and then possibly never reading the other nominees, we are going to take a different approach.
Every quarter, we are going to vote on the authors - whichever author has the most votes will be read in the first second, the second most votes the second month etc.
Clear as mud right?
So long story short, over the next 3 months - the Featured Authors will be
August -
Åke EdwardsonSeptember -
Johan TheorinOctober -
Sara BlaedelThe next set of nominations will go up mid-October and will encompass the Nov/Dec/Jan time frame
Naomi wrote: "No, I didn't realize he had a new book out yet. It will be on my TBR list."I thought I recommended it to you - maybe it was someone else - FWIW, I found out that Lars Kepler is actually a husband/wife writing duo

what Naomi said!! sorry guys - i'm getting the poll up now - its been one of those weeks...

fixing mayhem's link now -
Åke Edwardson

Mayhem to the rescue!! and it does look like 3 books are available in english - book 3 is called the Quarry, but amazon only has it from a limited number of sellers

Susan - is that the right now - i'm not finding any mysteries written with that name ;)

I can't believe that we are more than half-way through the year already...soon all the kids will be going back to school (lol)
So who do people want to have as our featured author for August?
reminder, they must have at least 3 books available in english (or due to be released in the month they are selected in order to qualify)
Nominations will be open until the
28th and we will vote until the
31st

Congrats Jim on having Helsinki White nominated for an Edgar Award

Since she is a shy flower and all that - I hope everyone wishes Naomi a very happy birthday ;)

yep, i'm stepping out on you ;)

just a 'lil ;) Mayhem and I go WAYYY back...well, maybe not that far, but we've hung out on the amazon discussion boards

lol. but I get yelled at when I change it to something else...

Hi Michael - thanks for joining us - I look forward to chatting with you

there is a book depository in the UK as well - I use them for books that I can't easily get in the US

Naomi just likes all dark and twisty ;) the darker and the twistier the better

just got approved for this one through NetGalley - can't wait to read it

i'm intrigued - it just wasn't working well for me at work listening when I keep getting distracted I need to listen in a more isolated scenario

Sorry for the late posting guys
