4170 The reason I know how old my oldest books are is because I used to write the date I bought a book on the inside cover.

No computers and definitely no internet in those days (mid-70s)

4170 I'm a bit of a completionist. If I like a game I like to fully complete it.

I have several books 40+ years old that are unread and unlikely to be read now. I don't feel bad, It's not me, It's them ;-)
4170 A sense of humour? ;-)

(j/k) ;-P

It's not for everyone. We all have different tastes. I am constantly amazed at what other people find funny or enjoyable.

I loathe with a passion Will Ferrell, Adam Sandler and Jim Carrey's style of comedy.

Got through the games to its logical conclusion?
Got all Achievements/Trophies (Platinum) etc?

Do you think it would be worthwhile having a separate "Quick Burns Discussion" thread?

We could keep this thread uncluttered and purely for news items and the other for responses.

Thanks :-)

I love maps for made up worlds. LoTR, GoT etc

I had great interactive one for Game of Thrones until I upgraded my iPad and it now won't work.

It's ok. It's not a great as the original and has a completely different cast. It's 2 boys instead of 2 girls as the main characters.

I'd give LiS2 a 3.5/5. The original is a 5/5

That is the first Volume. There is a 2nd Volume out: Life Is Strange: Waves
With a 3rd Volume out in April: Life Is Strange: Strings

I loved Life is Strange. The 2nd game is almost as good.

I haven't read the comics yet. I might wait until they are all out.

4170 I did find that strange as well.

I'd put them in the same category as beauty spots. They can enhance an already attractive face.

There are few of us on here who are old enough to have watched Lost in Space, Star Trek, Doctor Who etc in their original run.

Though, I was a little young to have enjoyed their 1st seasons though ;-) Being 3, 1 & 4 respectively :-)

4170 I know of a series that involves cryogenics in a scary dangerous post apocalyptic world, but that is the major twist you find out later in the first novel of the trilogy. Early on you are led to believe you are in rural idyllic America, present day.

The book series, if you don't mind that I spoiled the major twist:

4170 We can't blame Fleming for the 'Truly Scrumptious' name. She has a different name in the book. Roald Dahl came up with that clanger when he wrote the screenplay.

4170 I loved CCBB as a kid. I doubt it would have the same appeal to me nearly 5 decades later.

Only in the 60s could you get away with calling a female character 'Truly Scrumptious' ;-)

4170 It was a bit slow at the beginning, but it does pick up.

The narrator doesn't help.

It's a place-holder name. He does have a name, but they won't tell us. At least until we hear it on the show.
