Nevermind. That's the graphic Novel adaptation..

It doesn't seem to have been adapted for that format"
I have the ebook. I think I got it from a Humble Bundle?

Ah, I missed that. I updated my post accordingly. Either way hopefully this means we'll see the book sometime in next year.

Scott Lynch just posted a photograph of what

And much like Expanse one of his characters (secondary to start with, POV in later books) is an older woman. Something that seems far too rare in fantasy.
Also it's the only fantasy book I've read that focuses a lot on the economic side of power that I can really think of beyond just simple mention of taxes.
------------------------------
And I really like Sins of Empire as well. I think both that and the sequel are the best books he's written to date.

For me I call in our reservation the Monday before, so that's when I set our invites to, but I never realized what that did I guess.

You joke, but that's essentially what they did with Full Metal Alchemist. Only in that case it was a complete redo from the start, not just the new stuff.
I could see HBO making movies or miniseries based on the last two books. Except at that point it wouldnt be all the same people most likely, so maybe not.
Animation is a lot easier in that regard, although they did bring back the same voice cast.

Agreed. I feel like they should have done two 10 episode seasons instead of one final "split" season of 13.
They could have ended season 7 with the Battle of Winterfell and then had an entire 10 episodes of season 8 to wrap up the rest of the plot.
Ah well, as an anime fan, I'm used to this kind of thing by now. The anime is never as good when it gets past the manga. I'll take this over them doing filler until the books are done..

I just finished my reread of the series and still really enjoyed it the second time through.
I think Arista becomes less stupid as it goes on, and really turns into one of my favorite characters. Thrace gets even better, although that also takes some time too.
Do you think you'll continue on, or are you stopping here? I feel like each of the first few stories are stand alone enough that it's easy to stop after each until maybe the 4th and definitely the 5th.

I have to presume he told them who wins and what happens to some of the major characters.
No matter what you thought, it's the end of an era. I don't think we'll see this kind of appointment TV again. Not in the age of binging. And certainly not for a fantasy show. Even if the Lord or the Rings or Wheel of Time shows are popular, they won't be THIS popular. Neither has the kind of sex or violence that I think brought in the masses to Thrones.
This season wasn't my favorite, but I didn't hate it as much as a lot of people seemed to.
With regard to the final episode:
(view spoiler)

Just in time for the monthly group message later this week too. Hopefully if there are others out there in the Boston area who didn't know about the poll or the meetup will find you guys.

This was my first reread of any of his books. I'm not sure if I'll reread the first empire books before the final book, but probably. I have too many other things to read to do a reread before the 4th though.

Thanks!
That's odd, it looks like that event was made awhile ago, but I don't see it listed under the S&L events: https://www.goodreads.com/event/list_...
Am I just crazy? I just see SF, MD/DC/NoVA and Austin there..
