Showing 1,501-1,520 of 7,205

However I think the show could use a bit marketing blitz so just dropping a new season without annoucing anything might hurt the growth.
Then again they essentially need to get people to watch seasons 1-3 ahead of the new season so they watch 4 whenever it comes out.
I'm not sure how much (if at all) they are advertising the old seassons. I see stuff on social media and twitter, but I follow a bunch of expanse stuff so that's probably not a good gauge of what your typical person who would like/be interstered in the show but doesn't know about it/watch it yet.
Either way I'm excited for season 4. I really hope it does well so we get seasons 5-9 or whatever it takes for them to do all 9 books.

Am I missing something here??"
Larry Correia is the guy who created the Sad Puppies and was a big part of the whole Hugo slate drama a few years ago.

But yeah, I check for sales on ebooks every day. I have a few wish lists I use to monitor, and none of those books ever seem to be on sale.

But apart from that I had no issues with the first episode. So maybe this season just won't be for you. I don't know.
I thought there was some good character development this season, especially with Eleven.

Will Wight has made ALL of his individual ebooks FREE today, July 4th. (I actually just got all of his ebooks free on Amazon.)"
It's nice that he has exte..."
If you like shonen fighting series at all, I'd recommend Unsouled.
Otherwise his joint series (Of Sea and Shadow/Of Shadow and Sea) might be a better place to start. Although I haven't read them yet myself.

for collections, I'm not sure. You could count it as 1 SFF book, or N short stories.
I don't really read short stories, but if I did I'd probably do the latter myself. of course the counting is based on your good reads shelves, so if you only have the collection on your shelf then it would count as 1 book towards that challenge rather than N things.
You'd have to shelve all N stories in the collection..

Laser: 8/20 (40% complete, 10% behind)
Comics: 6/10 (60% complete, 10% ahead)
This month I've added +4 Sword, 1 Laser, 1 Graphic novels. My reading continues to be down, but it helps that I did a few shorter fantasy books in audio. My one Sci-fi book was a monster (34 hours) though.
I've been mixing in more non SFF again, so I'll have to make up some ground in the second half of the year. I think next year I may drop my goals to like 30 or 35 fantasy, 15 sci-fi and maybe 5 comics.
With G. Willow Wilson's run of Ms. Marvel done, and Saga on hiatus there isn't much I plan to read right now. I know there is a ton of great stuff out there, but I don't want to follow a lot of ongoing stuff, so I'm more likely to look for something already completed that I can borrow from my library.
For next month I will do at least 1 fantasy (Age of Legend) and 1 sci-fi in audio, plus the Vessel in hardcover.
I'm sure I'll do another fantasy or two as well. I feel like there is more than 1 book coming out in July that I had planned to pick up, but I forget what the second one might be.
I was also thinking of continuing my discworld read with Small Gods if my reading of Vessel doesn't go the way of my last 2 non-audio books.

We're at the halfway point. If the numbers hold up, we'll get about 6,500 fantasy books, short of both the pledged books of 6,820 and the goal of 10k books. Similarily we'll only get 5,600 sci-fi books short of the 6,380 pledged.
The average pledge for fantasy is about 1 book more than the average per user look to read, and 2 more for sci-fi books.
I had expected after the survey last year and the monthly advertising that participation would be up this year, but apparently I was wrong.

Whatcha reading in July?
