Not sure when it takes place, but popular speculation is that
(view spoiler)[they might bring Ezra onto the show to train the kid (hide spoiler)]
(view spoiler)[I'm going to still call him Baby Yoda probably.
Overall I liked the episode, but I would have liked to see what Ashley Eckstein might have done instead. I thought Rosario was fine, and they did a good job making her look like Ahsoka. But the voice and the delivery of her lines just was off to me.
I still don't get why they decided to get someone else. Bigger name? Lack of live action experience by Ashley? It's a shame really, but if it means more Ahsoka I'll put up with it.
The episode was both written and directed by Dave Fiolini and I trust him to do right by the character. The plot felt in character for Ahsoka.
I was wondering how they'd work it so he had to keep taking Baby Mcguffin from planet to planet, and I guess now we're going to some Jedi Temple next. Well given the way this season is going, next episode will be a one-off travel episode adventure, then maybe the episode after will be the temple.
Then another filler episode before whatever happens at the temple to setup up season 3 in the final episode.
Spoiler talk for Rebels: (view spoiler)[We learn Ahsoka is still looking for Thrawn (and presumably Ezra), but no Sabine in sight (or mention of her for that matter). Did they split up to widen their search? I'm still waiting for my Ahsoka/Sabine spin-off show! (hide spoiler)]
Overall a really great episode, despite my disappointment about the casting. It was really awesome to see those dual white blade lightsabers in live action. (hide spoiler)]

I could watch plenty of other stuff on VHS, but I own (most) of the Harry Potter series in DVD.

I'm not doing TV, but watching the Harry Potter movies on DVD like an old man.

Welcome Aaron. What version(s) of D&D do you play?
I started on 2e, then moved to 3.5 and now I play 5e.

Welcome Herman. I think a lot of people (myself included) have had their reading impacted this year. For me personally I find it hard to keep my concentration much longer than an hour or so, and I read really slow.
Hopefully having a group to read along/discuss with helps you out.

I'm torn on this. I assume they are going to end with
Babylon's Ashes due to the
(view spoiler)[30 year time jump (hide spoiler)] of
Persepolis Rising.
If they use stuff from the last 3 books in the final season it could mess things up.
As to Alex, I don't really recall what he was doing in
Babylon's Ashes, but I'd rather they give his most important stuff to other characters over recasting him.
I never heard if there was any validity to the accusations against him, but it certainly doesn't look good.

I posted this in discord, but I'm a bit reluctant to pick up a dystopian novel right now. I'm struggling to read in general and I keep hearing people say how "close to reality" this is.
That kind of scares me off this book right now. Also I struggled with
Dawn back when we read it.

Best of luck Veronica!

Our pick for next month will be:
Parable of the Sower by
Octavia E. Butler.
Let us know what you think of the pick.

Yeah. My top reads each year are rarely nomintated. Not that I'm reading a lot of indie stuff or whatever, just not the most popular stuff I guess.
This is the first year I didn't vote in the graphic novel category. A lot of that is that I didn't read that much compared to past years, and what I did was older stuff.

Final round:
https://www.goodreads.com/choiceaward...I"m 30 pages into
Rhythm of War should I vote for that? I'm annoyed at how many people must be voting for a book they haven't read yet. But that happens every year. It's not really a which is the best book so much as a which is the most popular.
It looks like
Peace Talks made it through, so even though I thought
Battle Ground was the better book I'll vote for that instead.
Sadly
The Relentless Moon didn't make it either, but I enjoyed
Network Effect so I'll go for that now.

please use spoiler tags when discussing the details of the show.

I'm terrible at chess, but from what I read they did a good job with it.
Either way I thought it was really interesting without trying to make it flashier than it actually is.

I just finished Queen's Gambit. Really enjoyed it. Though I was more into the chess part than the commentary on drug and alcohol addiction.
Tassie Dave wrote: "something that should be in spoiler tags"There have been rumors of Pedro Pascal being unhappy about never having his face on camera, including rumors he quit mid-season.
If there is any validity to the rumor that sure would make a good plot device to resolve it.
Tassie Dave wrote: "We finally get the hooded figure from the trailer (Mercedes Varnado AKA Sasha Banks)
but she isn't named in the show or the credits.."(view spoiler)[Internet says she's a new character/not from Clone Wars named Koska Reeves. https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Kosk...
Wiki says she is in deed a Night Owl. How they know the name or that she's a Night Owl I have no idea! (hide spoiler)]This episode might be my favorite of the series so far. There wasn't a TON of plot development. But there was some! And I really enjoyed it! Now THIS IS THE (my preferred) WAY!
(view spoiler)[I thought Katie Sakoff did a fantastic job as Bo Katan!
I'm also super excited for Ahsoka. I really hope we get that next week, but with the rate this show has been going, I'm going to guess next week will be some 1-off story again. Hopefully I'm wrong. (hide spoiler)]

Controversy about a fake controversy?

Welcome Scott and Fish!

I recognized both right away. I thought it was pretty cool.
I think I yelled out Appa!
