It was my very first of her books and despite the intensity I enjoyed it, hope you’ll enjoy it even if it contains an element you mention you don’t care for.

Outch! The most important part is he’s fine. A car can be replaced, a person usually not. Still I hope it won’t be too expensive to fix or replace.

40917 In case I get to any of those I wanted to double-check if there's a title that won't work as not all seem complete to me even if grammatically they most likely would be considered sentences:
1. When Joy Came to Stay
2. It Happened at the Fair
3. As if There Were No Yesterday - literal translation of the German title: Als gäbe es kein Gestern)
4. Who Needs a Husband Anyway? - literal translation of the German title: Wer braucht schon einen Mann? (the English original title is: Too Rich for a Bride)
5. Where the Heart Is

I tried to pick books I've not chosen for you before

The Bourne Identity (Jason Bourne, #1) by Robert Ludlum The Fault in Our Stars by John Green Lady Fiasco (My Notorious Aunt, #1) by Kathleen Baldwin The Handmaid’s Tale (The Handmaid's Tale, #1) by Margaret Atwood

The Bourne Identity great espionage classic
The Fault in Our Stars a tearjerker
Lady Fiasco something light and fun
The Handmaid’s Tale not a genre I enjoy but this one was very interesting

Enjoy!

40917 Round 11 - Agnieszka picks for Danielle

All were 5 star books for me. I usually try to cut my picks down to four, though didn’t know which one to leave out when I got to five (I started with 10) so I hope you don’t mind a bigger pool to pick from this time.

Vanished (Private Justice, #1) by Irene Hannon Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen A Day Like This by Kelley McNeil A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks The Martian by Andy Weir

Vanished one of my favorite authors - Christian contemporary romantic suspense
Pride and Prejudice one of the rare classics I not only loved but even re-read (more than once) - classic romance with a side of social commentary (warning: each time I read it, I struggled through the first third, got involved in the second and understood why so many people love it in the last)
A Day Like This a revelation and another positive experience for me (only second science fiction book I loved) - contemporary with time issue elements (I know there’s a name for this SF-subgenre, but I can’t remember how it’s called)
A Walk to Remember a longtime favorite - YA drama
The Martian something really fun and my very first science fiction novel I loved :-D - humorous space adventure

Enjoy!
