I don't have Quicksand on my planned reading for this year. That may have to change. Nice review!

You have picked some really good books, happy reading!

Hello Luna, welcome to the group.

Welcome ana, glad you you are with us!

Have a great year, happy reading.

One already done, way to go, a good way to start the year. Happy reading.

Well planned. I hope you have a great year reading, with plenty of five star books.

I see two by
Nevil Shute on your lists. I look forward to your review, as I haven't read either. We both have the 1930's on or decade list. I haven't decided what to read for '30, '32, '38, or '39. The only book we have in common for those years is
Johnny Got His Gun, which I read this year.
As usual you have done a great job planning. I hope your reading goes as well. Have a great year!!

Enjoy your first buffet, take a little or a lot just have a good time. Happy reading.

I also like the planning and reading. Even when the reading doesn't follow the plan. Which for me happens a lot. Have a good year!

Mia, enjoy your challenges, happy reading.

Good luck on your challenges. I have also divided my challenges into priority. I'm not going to worry about several but focus on the ones I like the most. I hope you give short stories a go, they are my favorite. Take a look at
A Horseman in the Sky,
The Lottery, or
The Story of an Hour. Have a good year.

Terris, I noticed
Requiem for a Wren on your Old and New challenge. The same book is titled
The Breaking Wave and may be easier to find, assuming you don't already have it. It is one of Shute's more solemn books, dealing with the effects of war on those who served. An excellent read. I hope you like it. Have a very good year and happy reading.

I'm glad you are giving this another try. Reading slumps are terrible, I hope this challenge helps you break yours. Happy reading!!

Deciding can be great fun as well the hardest part. Take your time and enjoy, the year just started. Happy reading.

Looking forward to watching your challenges progress, Have a good year.

I agree, the Old and New challenge is one of the harder challenges. I struggle with it every year. But for me, both A-Z challenges are never completed. Enjoy your reading. Have a good year.
The Reivers, that's on my TBR bucket list. Enjoy it and the rest of your challenge.
