Since I can't get hold of The Talented Mr. Ripley through any of my RL or electronic sources, my husband tells me Flashman will work for this, and he is begging me to read it. He is a secret agent, the blurb on my copy refers to him as an imposter, but looking for approval.
It’s more a case of his true nature was not known. He does dress in a disguise, but that is very brief

I have read Anatomy: A Love Story, which is designated YA, but there is no lexile info. What implications for styles? I don't think it would be low lexile, but I can't confirm.

The Queens of Sarmiento Park is about a group of travesti (trans women) sex workers, does this meet your intent with the task? These women work the streets to survive, are abused for their transgender status, but from the 10 or so pages I read last night looks to be a story full of love.
