36119 I've been at the library looking at the 800-809.9 books. I found several that look good :). I was surprised that one book that my local library has shelved as 808.2 is shelved under Biography at BPL (The Late Bloomer's Revolution). The others I found at my local library under 800-809.9 are shelved under 800-809.9 at BPL

Booktube is my second favorite bookish site on the internet :) (goodreads is my first favorite) -- I especially appreciate the booktubers focused on science fiction.

and .... here in USA, CSPAN2 does "booktv" Friday night thru Monday morning. All the programming is about books! Mainly non-fiction, mainly public policy - history - biography. CSPAN2 has a webpage where its programs can be viewed:

36119 When we used to live in Florida, July & August frequently were 100 - 105 degrees. The local stations would run public service announcements about not letting children outside to play for more than 15 minutes at a time, about the need for hydration, and to never never never leave a baby in a hot car, 15 minutes is long enough to cause permanent damage.

Here in Georgia it is usually in the 90s this time of year but it's been hotter than normal. Last week my home thermometer was 104 degrees (on the TV they only admitted to 98).

No blizzards here in the winter is the tradeoff. Of course, Atlanta can't deal with 2 inches of snow (see: January 30, 2014).

January 30, 2014: less than 2 inches of snow shut down the city, traffic did not move on the roads at all. My daughter spend 3 hours going 1 mile (en route to work) before she gave up and walked home. Those of us who are northern transplants were amazed at the incompetence of the city that day.
