36119 Ok, two more I can claim for other tasks, but I may as well get extra points if they qualify for this:

Love Lessons (Love Lessons Series) - I've only read the first one, but reviews of the second make it quite clear that while the narrators change to a new couple, Kelly and Walter from Love Lessons are heavily involved in Fever Pitch. The third one isn't out yet, so I can't verify anything except that it's got different narrators, but the author's website calls it "The Love Lesson Series".

Against the Dark (The Associates) - I've again only read the first one, but the series follows a secretive group of spies known as The Associates. It doesn't look like there's a narrative arc spread through the series, but the hero of the second book is definitely a side character in the first. It looks as though other characters appear in multiple books as well. The author's webpage also calls it a series.

No big rush or deal on these - I'll claim them for 10.4 and if they qualify I'll ask Kate to shift them over to 20.2.

Thanks!!!

36119 I'm reading Dead Heat in the Alpha and Omega Series.

It's been a while since I'd read an installment, so I don't remember how many narrators there were in the first few books, but there are definitely NEW ones in this book. The main story across the whole series follows Anna and Charles, but this book at least has additional points of view besides the two of them (so far the unnamed 'big bad', Chelsea, and her husband at a minimum), and they're new characters that weren't in previous books since they aren't people Charles and Anna have ever met before.

Anyway, it already qualifies for 10.9, but for combo points I wondered if it counts. If it helps, I can try to look back and try to remember if previous volumes had narrators other than Charles and Anna - I have a feeling they did.

Sorry, nothing clicked. Like you said, Book Riot the site mentioned it, but not the podcast.

Unfortunately, I listen to way more podcasts than we ended up listing, so sometimes a book will sound familiar but I've heard it or read it elsewhere...

I didn't really recall either of them from a podcast, and did a quick search to confirm. However, since they're relatively new, they may yet be discussed. If I hear about either on future episodes I'll let you know!

I did read the second book. I'm overall kind of confused about what qualifies for this and what doesn't, since at least one of the disqualified books had stronger ties than some others (I think, maybe). Anyway, the main characters in the second book of the Amour de Chocolat series don't appear by name in the first one (that I can recall). The main characters in the first book do show up off and on in the second, and the two books have some side characters in common. One side character in particular ends up moving the plot forward in both books. It also seems to be aiming to give a wide view of the (fictionalized) world of chocolates and other desserts in Paris. I'll let you figure out if that's enough of a connection, especially since I've still only read 2 of the books and probably won't read a third this season :)

They both definitely qualify for the Paris task, so it's really just combo points on the line regardless.

I haven't, and at this point I have plenty on my shelves to keep me occupied, so it's not really worth moving forward to see if it works. Thanks though!

36119 In The Dark Horse, the main character references The Charioteer - he wants to act in a movie adaptation because of the book's profound influence on his life.
