Hi Juliana!
The posts at the start of the thread on P1 should give you a quick start guide to what is going on and I try to post a status update every couple of days.

Very weird. Thanks for fixing it.

Sorry I wasn't about at all yesterday!
Now we've got all the books for our 1st big rainbow (thanks for finding dark orange MH), whether the colours are dark or light doesn't matter.
I'm going to add a column of checkboxes so that if a book works for a colour cover we can mark them and find them easily later if we want to shuffle things for more points.
Mia - the links that they go to should be correct even if people have renamed their shelves from what they were on sign up.

DQ Day 3
Chapters 16-21
11. The fight with Raff's old band (who looked like clowns) that ended with snakes is one of the first times we see the almost full band working together. What did you think of this scene? Did you like the action or was it confusing?I didn’t find it too bad. There are certainly fight scenes in other books I’ve read that are more confusing.
12. So the hoarder kobolds - I thought they were great! And the bird-like creatures pulling the carriage. Do you have a favorite creature you've seen so far, or one you'd like to see? Tell why.Well he’s certainly throwing a lot of different creatures into the mix. I don’t feel like we’ve had enough details of any of the creatures to have a favourite yet.
13. I think in the last half of this section we really start understanding what a big deal the Kings of Wyld really were. And we get to compare them to the Screaming Eagles. What do you think about the ethics and popularity of the new bands that kill captive monsters in arenas?I think there is an odd honesty about killing in the wild (though would rather it didn’t happen there either) where you are on the monster’s territory and it can play to its strengths. Killing something that has been bought up in captivity for the purpose of a fight seems more self indulgent.
14. Lastleaf gave his (and the hordes') motivations for conquest. Do you think his reasons were valid, or is he just evil? Do you feel at all sorry for the monsters?I think his reasons have validity and that we are all guilty of thinking that ‘our’ group can’t possibly have done something that would cause a negative reaction.
15. We all picked our favorite character in day 1 questions. Has yours changed since then?I want more Jane please and thank you.

I'd say dark blue

SYNOPSIS OF THE LOST GIRLS - DINO ISLAND BOOK 1
The Lost Girls (Dino Island, #1) by J.R. Hogan
Our protagonist is narcoleptic Hot Prof (I believe he has a name, but it’s unimportant. The official NBRC designation for this character is Hot Prof, and he is in possession of a Magic Manhood™ - but more on that later).
One day hot prof overhears some students talking about how hot he is. Being the kind of person that is sometimes shy (and at other times Brave, Manly and Expert-at-Everything), he is of course both flattered, but also worried, because he respects these women SO MUCH!
An evil colleague suddenly zaps him, 4 gorgeous students and some unimportant redshirt male asshat to what appears to be a prehistoric island jungle, where they soon run into scientifically accurate feathered dinosaurs. Hot Prof promptly dispatches the foul beast by throwing a rock at it. *swoon*
They find some random stuff that shouldn’t be there and redshirt asshat gets eaten.
Now Hot Prof is left with his Harem:
Jessica – The beautiful blonde cheerleader with ample bosoms
Sarah – the quiet librarian type…
Daisy – Who may or may not be Clint Eastwood in teeny tiny shorts (going by her “unbroken gunslinger’s gaze”)
And Ling – kick-ass Asian female
More daring rescues happen. Dino is taken out with a skillet.
They set up camp, the females doing all the work while Hot Prof ponders existence. They also find more random stuff that shouldn’t be there, which has personal significance to them. They eat roasted dino ribs, making sure to spend lots of time licking and sucking so Hot Prof starts to feel a little flustered.
Someone kisses Hot Prof in the night. Even bet it was either one of the girls, or the Spinosaurus.
Girls all make a pass at Hot Prof at one stage or another, but he just respects them TOO MUCH!
Some more dinos get taken care of, and one of the girls takes a tumble that necessitates immediate removal of clothing. After showing off his medical skills, Hot Prof shows off his boy scout skills by butchering a dino with a pocketknife.
Tired of waiting for Hot Prof to stop respecting them SO MUCH, the girls tie him to a tree and express their decision to each claim the protective powers of his Magic Manhood ™ for a day in turn. Sarah (who turned out to be the midnight kisser and also a virgin) takes her turn first, and ignores dubious consent issues while bouncing up and down on the Magic Manhood ™ and otherwise getting her wicked way. (it is already obvious the author has watched a LOT of porn, he also shows off his dubious grasp of anatomy).
More weird sponsor gifts random items appear in the jungle.
More dino rescues, with Hot Prof showing off his Tarzan skills. Also showing his tender side by sobbing in front of the girls. They gather fruit to satisfy the author’s food kink and Hot Prof is tied up again, this time to be ravished by Asian beauty Ling. Ling is on a magical birth control pill that she hasn’t needed to take since arriving on the island, yet will still be effective!
Consensus was made that Hot Prof is considerably less intelligent than a donkey. Or possibly he is a donkey. Or ass.
Hot Prof shows off even more incredible skills by using his body to trip up a Spinosaurus, and send it crashing to its death.
A character named Chastity Wiggum shows up and tells Hot Prof he is to come back with her, but he has to leave the women behind!
Will he or won’t he? All to be revealed in book 2! (hide spoiler)]Book 2
(view spoiler)[SYNOPSIS OF THE IMPOSSIBLE WOMEN - DINO ISLAND BOOK 2
The Impossible Women (Dino Island #2) by J.R. Hogan
Our wonderful, manly, extraordinary, Magic Manhood ™ possessing Hot Prof decides to go back to our world with Chastity Wiggum. But he’s not abandoning his harem! Despite the fact that they have no idea where he’s gone or why, he’s doing it for them! He’s going back for answers. And condoms!
After some explanations of what is going on that are very scientific and make perfect sense to everyone (except the people reading the book), Hot Prof decides to go on a shopping spree! But he has to hurry, because the portal will close and he’ll never be able to return!
He buys guns and ammo, and the obligatory katana, and does some grocery shopping for essentials, like shampoo and sugar. Prof’s Magic Manhood ™ will protect everyone from infections, so there is no need for him to source boring things like antibiotics. He also fills a trolley full of condoms and KY jelly, because priorities…
Hot Prof races back to the campus against the clock, recklessly disobeying traffic rules, and manages to get to the portal in the nick of time. This time, much to her dismay, Chastity is also returned to the island, and Hot Prof is stuck with her.
They make their way back to Prof’s Harem, who are not happy with him for disappearing, and for not being very good at grocery shopping.
There is some confusion about whether they have travelled in time, or to another dimension, or whether everything is just in his head. Then prof hands out weapons to everyone, but has nothing left for himself, because: “I’m going to rely on my overwhelming need to keep you safe as my weapon.”
More cheese follows.
Hot Prof and Jessica (whose turn it is, as Daisy declined) the cheerleader go off into the jungle together to hunt dinos. Jessica cannot contain herself a moment longer, and jumps on Hot Prof’s Magic Manhood ™. When dinos come, she continues bouncing, because apparently this helps her concentrate and improves her aim when shooting large predators.
They get back to the camp, and Chastity makes a pass at Hot Prof, who turns her down (obviously she hasn’t cottoned on to the fact that he needs to be tied to a tree first). Daisy is still distant.
And in a shocking twist (to anyone who hasn’t seen the show Lost ), there are other people on the island! And they’re not friendly!
There is some more derring do, and suggestive crotch-shuffling across a log over a ravine by some of the girls. Prof heroically rescues people again, and he has to make a choice to drop either Chastity or Daisy into the ravine. He doesn’t drop Daisy. Then he cries.
He cries some more over forgetting to buy hot sauce in his grocery shopping spree. (obviously Hot Prof is suffering from PMS)
They are attacked by the Evil Others, when… dun dun DUNNNNN a T-Rex appears!
Will they get eaten? Will Hot Prof defeat it with a stern look? Join us for book 3 to find out! (hide spoiler)]We're currently have a detour in the chat about the likelihood of infections passing from dinosaurs into humans and whether hand sanitiser would be enough to stop this.

DQ Day 2
Chapters 9 - 15
6. We meet the 3rd member of the band, the wizard Moog. What are your impressions of the wizard? Were you as surprised as Clay that he agreed to go right away?Poor lonely Moog. He’s been lost ever since the band disbanded and he lost his ‘cool points’. Weird wizard is only popular in the band, otherwise he’s a loser. Not surprised he’s jumped at the chance to relive the glory days.
7. That was some entrance to the palace, don't you think? What were your first impressions of Matrick? Were you surprised by the turn of events in chapter 11? Excited or worried when Moog announces that he had a plan?Matrick seems a bit of a wife beaten fool. Lilith is definitely a piece of work to have had so many children from a man that isn’t her husband. Given Moog’s last plan to leave his tower, surely nothing can go wrong with this!
8. After several descriptions sprinkled thoughout the story thus far, we finally meet a druin. What do you think his plan is? Why does he really want the Council to stand down?Possibly so that he can pick them apart one by one.
9. Were you surprised at how Lillian arranged the funeral? What did you think of Clay's contribution? How successful would you rate Moog's plan? She knew something not quite right was going on and wanted to be absolutely sure that he wouldn’t come back. Clay did his best, but that won’t have lessened her feeling that Matrick will come back and spoil her ice queen ways.
10. Gabriel borrows Moog's crystal ball to check on his daughter. Were you surprised at what he saw? What did you think of the band's reaction?Given the genre, no surprises about the city being in an absolutely dire state.

Are you reading the hardcover or the kindle edition?

Maybe one day soon...

For the purposes of the sheet, the hardcover is fine as it's the default.
I'll pop a message into the captain's thread asking if someone can add the audio
