I'll be Sophie's agent and put her book there. :)"
Keep organising me please!

My plans for the weekend have fallen through. Rather than going to Manchester to stay with my best friend who I haven't seen for 2 years, I'm staying home to look after my husband and kids who have picked up the temperature that I had earlier in the week.

What are they protesting? Are they defending a right or a location by the protest? Do they have any weapons (even one of amazing rhetoric)? Do they build any barricades or defenses against the police?
Just the fact it is a protest doesn't give us enough to go on to help.

How was Starling House? Currently undecided about them both.

No more wringing for you please from now on! Fingers crossed recovering with your books makes everything feel a bit better.

Hello team! :-)
The BOMs for June have been announced.
Starling House by Alix E. Harrow and The Wishing Game by Meg Shaffer
For anyone wishing to read them for extra points for the team, or volunteer to write discussion questions for the group for even more extra points, here are the link to the threads:
Starling House - starting 2nd June
The Wishing Game - starting 16th Jun

Much more sensible! I did the standard thing of getting overexcited when I first signed up.

Yeah this is going to get into my brain for a bit. I hear from people who have played in rounds of my restaurant rocks that noticing food items becomes an ingrained habit.

Thanks for the heads up on the audio - eill try to remember that when it makes it off my tbr.

I will eventually get there to give Book 1 of Sholomance a try... one day. 🤭"
I got the first as an ARC many years ago (while I still managed to read them in a reasonable timeframe!) otherwise I'm not sure I'd ever have picked them up.
Your new ARC sounds like it should be awesome and love that it's a Hungarian author.

Hiddleston here too

Keep going! You can do it!

I can understand readers' disappointment about the content, while not sharing the disappointment ..."
What I write down (when I get round to it), wouldn't read at all the same as a memoir that I was writing to get across my thoughts and personal growth. Sometimes the personal insights from that type of writing can be great when published, but it is unpolished and separate to an autobiography/memoir in my mind.
Tofino is properly isolated looking at a map - I spent some time in Campbell River (other side of Vancouver Island from Tofino at roughly the same latitude) and you didn't have to go far out of town to be in the woods. We had deer that would come and graze on the lawn.
