35559 That's a good summary Teddie! My view would be that we want to be nice to our paired team and hope they do the same in return.

Comfy pillows... Could you also manage hammocks for our trees?

35559 Quick reminder to please add books to your challenge shelf when you've finished them.
35559 The scene where she is saying goodbye prior to leaving for the capitol was interesting in showing that there are people looking out for her, even if she's not recognising it.

Feels like she's in survival mode after her dad's death and hasn't shut down as much as her mum, but is on the same path.

35559 Books and crafts sounds wonderful! My knitting is all in a box because I don't trust my small humans round it (and I don't really have time for it right now)

35559 Well done Cecily! No rush on adding things right now. Enjoy your trip away.
35559 I'd missed the minotaur retelling aspect too - the lack of an obvious maze probably! Know I've heard about it though it seems v obvious.

I've made it through chapter 1 and it's slower to read than I remember from when it came out (my 1st reread). Might be why I remember it as one of the more satisfying YA reads of the time.

I can see myself a bit in Katniss' interactions with Gale. They've formed a bond but she thinks it's friendship and if she's like me she's oblivious to the flirting and special treatment thinking it's just part of being good friends. It'll take someone hitting her metaphorically over the head with the information that he's interested for it to sink in.
35559 The rest of the world may be struggling underwater but have decided to work together (widely optimistic) and looked at Panem and decided to shut them off. Or they got hit by the nukes from district 13 and are a distant memory.

35559 Teddie and Vicki - and so the process of my tbr increasing during a challenge faster than I can read begins.

35559 Was unexpectedly called into work this afternoon so my plan to start reading hasn't happened.

Will be starting with Malevolent 7 (glad it's not horrible Mel, even if not your thing) and The Hunger Games.

Have Children of Time started as my audio too.
35559 So on the depression and herbs note - there have been some studies suggesting that compounds in magic mushrooms can help with depressive symptoms. If that's the type of thing she's found, herbs might have helped how she's feeling.

35559 About an hour left to be patient!

35559 Weapons and food looks like being straightforward categories to fill! We might need to be a bit more creative with shelter and defense but let's see.

What are kindle points? I've got kindle unlimited and buy kindle books but have never heard of them!

35559 12 hours and 10 mins to go! Nearly there.

I'm not setting a good example as my plans to finish things off before the challenge have fallen apart in light of the new job. 2 of them have a out 20% left so will probably just get those done. One has more like 50% and I may well just put it on hold for a few months now.

Yay! Hopefully will manage to keep up with reading it.

35559 Yeah... It's not looking great. Blame the new job keeping me busy. Or I can blame challenge admin...

Will be adding that to my evergrowing tbr!

35559 A please

35559 Will see what books I've got for the monsters on the go. Have 4 things to try and finish before Book Games starts which is looking overly optimistic ATM.

35559 Glad it's not just me who starts a job with this phase! Making a lot of lists so my brain has to do minimal work to remember processes for now.
