I know Stephanie had planned to take the last book in the chain.

Currently Lauri, Ushashi, Marty, Maritza and Lucy haven't chosen a book to read.

We've got 60 hours to complete the chain with district 9 (who I am also snooping at along with various others).

This was the first of his books I've read and I don't see it being the last. I found his ideas about humanity very thought-provoking within a well plotted book.

I'm glad to hear it is helping you feel more comfortable.

Book designers seem to like torsos and occasionally legs, but I'm not seeing many shoes on my tbr.

And there I was feeling happy that I'd finished a 608p to fill that gap... Might start on the next in the series, but it'll take me a month and knowing that it's a pages = points challenge I know one of you will get there first.

You are all making me feel hot and flustered now. Think I'll keep my high teens weather.

Finished a really interesting book (not for arachnophobes) - Children of Time if anyone enjoys sci-fi.

I feel like there's nowhere that's a happy temperature from our group!

Over 30 is only ever a reasonable temperature if I can sit in the shade and read a book with occasional dips in a swimming pool.

Can we take some of the hot weather and balance things out a bit? Hasn't got above 21c here so far this year. If we take 5 degrees from somewhere else I'd be very happy - I don't want over 30c though thanks.

Marty - this one is a bit of a head scratcher. We're alternating books with district 9 and need a 3 letter overlap between titles.

Us: Anything You Can Imagine (any overlap)
9: to be decided but will overlap INE

The escalation is what concerns me. The next rounds are going to be unpleasant but I don't want irredeemable rifts between our group members.

I'm more worried about how many rounds Sammy is planning and what happens with round 6 or so.

I think INE has a better chance of sending back something friendly!

How's everyone doing this week? My mother in law was staying last week so I wasn't online as much, but I'm back now.

Nope, we're waiting on Stephanie to send our 4th choice to district 9, then when they respond we'll figure out our 5th book. So we've got 6 choices left to make.

Cecily, if you're definitely happy with Lub bub love then we can send it over.

If we want a minimal overlap, I am prepared (if not overjoyed about the fact) Lube Job. I've read books by them before and they are perfectly readable.

Yeah but a group with Holland, France and Austria is not one with clear way out for them.

Most memorable experience I've got of the Dutch team was being in Spain in 2010 when they were playing in the world cup final with a group of Dutch I was at the language school with. Bonkers night (especially since the ref was English).
