Is there a B?

FYI - we are leaving in a few for Oceanside with one of our daughters and two of our granddaughters. We'll be there through Friday, so not sure how much interaction I will be able to give this week, but Jenny, IF I am chosen to do DQ's anytime between now and Friday, would you mind sending me a message? I know I will be able to get that on my phone and sometimes getting on our laptop at the resorts we go to is very IFFY!

Volunteering for DQ's Team Achilles

I'm volunteering for DQ's for Team Achilles.

My biggest concern is volunteering and not finding out in time to do the questions with time to think! In other words, we have several vacations planned, but I have never been chosen to do the DQ's before so I've only done the participation.

I will take my chances and volunteer for all three books. I have the CAT book ready now, but we leave for Oceanside on Monday. YAY! The other two are both between 4-6 weeks wait, so they're both iffy.

Question: I can go ahead and volunteer for Cat Chronicles but if I volunteer for the other 2 and don't receive the book(s) on time, it will work out because someone else on our team will be given the spot instead?

Another question: on the BOM columns, where do we add our names? I was able to get The Travelling Cat Chronicles so I'll definitely do that one.

I realized that earlier today! I was thinking we had two more weeks but it's right around the corner!

I am able to edit the Tracking SS tab. I put in a "claimed" book there along with tasks (multiple) that it would fit. When you or another captain has a chance, would you mind looking just to let me know if I input the information the way you guys want it or if I should do it differently? Thanks :)

Update: I also was able to access the Books tab and edit. Maybe I added too many potential mini-tasks?

Jenny, that’s a hard one to answer! Both have excellent ratings. Both are emotional reads. I most recently read Reminders of Him, her newest book, and I probably liked it equally to It Ends with Us which has always been my favorite book of hers. It’s a toss up!

Cynthia, It Ends with Us is definitely another of my favorite books! CoHo is not only a favorite author of mine but she’s an amazing human being!

Btw, will the SS be open to us to input our books? Will the mini-challenge books also go on the regular May books read tab? I have a U book I am waiting to read for the mini. Can we "claim" letters or do you want us to wait until the books are finished to claim spots?

Angie, NOOOOOOOOO...I am a Niners fan! The Raiders are traitors! lol Their new stadium in Vegas is gorgeous though, I'll have to give then that!

I also root for the Cowboys because I was born in Texas and kind of grew up on them and the Dodgers (lived in Los Angeles County). I love watching the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders tryouts every year! I was a cheerleader in 9th grade and my junior and senior years, so I love watching their competition. I can't believe what they go through to make the team!

Brittany, i’m not on this team but I saw your post and had to read it and I am so excited for you! I had no idea that you were working on a novel so congratulations on your third draft! I’m curious what genre it is going to be considered.

Yeah, Bichons are people dogs. My husband and I worked opposite schedules when I was still teaching. Now that I’m retired there’s always someone here 98% of the time. What happened to you Bichon?

Adorable! I am definitely a dog lover and definitely not a cat lover! I tried to post a picture but kind of forgot how to do it. We did have 3 dogs but so sadly Buddy died several years ago so now we have 2. The Bichon is noisy! Rocky is such a good boy! Love our doggies!
