I see my name on the team now so I’ll give my input. I agree that the United States would be a good and easy start. And I like Roaring Readers a lot.

I’m leaving in four hours for Hawaii for a week so if I’m not on every day that’ll be why.

I also looked at some of the requirements in one thread and it said, "Choose 3 books
Choose 3 tasks within each of those books to complete"

So do we have specific tasks listed somewhere or are they already on our SS?

Thank you, I added 3 books (I think) to the Tri-Wizard tasks, hoping I did them right. I feel lost/confused because I've been gone so much.

I'll check out the Lion's Den and see if there's anything I can add there.

I finished and I loved it. I am really glad that Leigh realized that she (view spoiler)[wasn't responsible for her mother in any way and could let go of any guilt. I am also glad she was able to relieve her dad of guilt. (hide spoiler)]

I just saw so many messages about everyone reading whatever that I felt like there were some specific books that might help, or types of books.

I just got back from my trip to Book Bonanza and Mexico recently and am SO behind on what's going on.

Is there anything I can do to help with anything specific we need to read?

I am about halfway done or more actually.

I am sad to hear about (view spoiler)[the suicide attempts, shock treatments for Leigh's mother, and that sharing her mental illness with Leigh was so taboo. Mental illness is like any other disease and it is nothing to be ashamed of and I think it might have helped Leigh to understand her mother a lot more and the suicide. (hide spoiler)]

I'm so sorry everyone. I apologize because I've been traveling so much that I'm really lost! I sadly didn't have computer access very much (especially in Mexico) and you know how it goes on a cell phone.

I'm a bit lost right now. I read that BR are no longer? Is that right? What should I focus on now that will help us the most? I'm still going on one more trip for sure in 11 days so I'll be without a PC again for the week for the most part. I'm going to Kauai, Hawaii with one of my sisters and she is my BEST friend in the world. It's going to be such quality time well-spent.

But if anyone could catch me up just a bit. What is TWT and what can/should I do for it, if anything?

Is anyone still reading this one? I began it yesterday and I am loving it so far but there isn't much discussion in this thread so just curious what's happening.

Chapters 1-20

I was very sad about (view spoiler)[Leigh's mother committing suicide. That's such a horrible legacy to leave your loved ones, especially children. I do hope she had a mental illness that contributed to her decision to take her life. (hide spoiler)]

Leigh's father (view spoiler)[sounds like he hasn't been all that present in her life, and children need their parents so badly, especially after her mother's suicide. I wonder why he doesn't listen to her about anything she says like the bird being her mother. If he were to ask questions and listen to what she says, he might find out some important information. If she is mentally off, he needs to know and get her help. (hide spoiler)]

I'm glad that Leigh (view spoiler)[went to meet her maternal grandparents. I hope they are able to help her understand her mother and all the bird visits, etc. At least knowing them would (I hope) somehow make her feel closer to her deceased mother. (hide spoiler)]
