I'm a little bummed because I didn't get chosen for DQ's and I never have been! I know it's randomized but I just don't have good luck (or bad luck...) however you look at it! lol

Sorry I have been MIA today! Coming home yesterday we got up at 4:00 and got home around 1:00 then went to eat some good Mexican food! After getting back home and taking care of a few things, I just HAD to watch the four new episodes of The Circle! lol So I stayed up till 2:45 then woke up at 6:30...I just couldn't sleep. Story of my life! Anyway, I had a lot of things to take care of today so I am ready to start this HANGMAN game.

I would like the letter U please.

Oh shoot! I can't start until tomorrow at 1:00 PM? Darn it! I was planning to start at midnight! Ugh...the wait is real!

No kidding! I'm just coming up with a few nonsense poems, but the sonnet is true except kids flinging pencils and papers. They probably wanted to though because it is a really hard concept to learn, especially if a student is not advanced in English. But we had fun with the sonnets overall and they also had to illustrate them, giving the more artistic students more chance to shine. I myself am NOT artistic at all!!! lol

Sonnet

Ten syllables is not too hard to do
But it isn't the rhyme that I prefer
I hope that I can convince all of you
So that when I'm done you will all concur.

Shakespeare's sonnets must have taken lots of time
Figuring out schemes that made sense of love
Not only that but they also had rhyme
How did he do it? Found symbols like dove.

I used to teach high school freshmen so young
They thought it was cruel to think so hard
So many pencils and papers they flung
They knew my job was to just disregard

I rest my case before it is too late
And all of you do me begin to hate!

LIMERICK

Vacation time at Oceanside Beach
It's the perfect time for us to teach
My daughter's girls before we die
How important it is to marry a good guy
I'll pray to God for a fine husband each!

I tried to use it for our vacation but it's not true. Their mother and father do an excellent job! Of course, our values have been instilled in them as well. Abigail is 18 and Haileybrook is only 14 so we are NOT in a hurry! lol

Okay, I'll follow the first two Haikus and give it a try:

Our eye candy rules
While the other teams all drool
We will win so COOL!

We need someone to pick a good letter for that last word so we can figure it out!

The only REEN words I can think of are PREEN, TREEN, GREEN, but those are the only ones I can think of.
