haha thanks for the tip

I suppose if you were making a double ham sandwich that would work.
Think about what the item would be at the end and how you “sell” it. So using two lots of butter probably wouldn’t make sense. But two lots of cheese for an “extra cheesy” sandwich is conceivable

If we can do spell-it-out, how do we differentiate it from regular Curry?"

You can do either. If spelling it out just keep in mind the ingredients - so it is a chicken curry with spices. For example
Spelling out “curry” would be the normal curry whereas “Fijian” would work for this curry or you could spell out a spice associated with a Fijian curry. Don’t overthink it too much, and be imaginative 👍
35559 I’m starting chapter 9… and I have to say I’m struggling with every chapter that includes William.
I’ve started to switch off the audio and read the actual chapters that include him just so I can get through it faster.
I get that he is the ultimate villain, but gracious….
35559 Don’t feel bad - hopefully you can get a full team soon and be ready to cook on 1 Sept 👍😊
35559 Thanks, Erin. We tried to make it clear in the rules that you sign up as a team, but we’ve had a few teams now where we are then putting in new members afterwards and it makes for more work for us to go in and out - especially if it becomes every team - so just wanted to put a reminder out there 👍

We have three individual
audio challenges that have been around for years, but people still do them - often more than once.
You can start here https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
(Last person to complete was just a few months ago) and then once finished move to part two and part three

Haha I now understand why you needed that serial killer book!!

I totally agree about William and his family and I was also glad that Phillip has at least helped (view spoiler)
35559 End of part two
William and his family are the worst villains! Ah not sure if I can cope unless they get some consequences soon!

*that* scene with Aliena was awful. (view spoiler).
Phillip is still the best character. Looking forward to the next part

LOL
Funnily enough when I went back to the templates this year I had the same thought and I created them. haha! I had to remind myself how it all worked again.

I get so many ideas for this challenge that I want to do, but then I need to find a way for it to work in the spreadsheet which can dampen those ideas. haha

35559 Thanks everyone, and big thanks to the captains for keeping it all together!!

I really enjoyed the group maze and the monster hunting. Unfortunately the BOMs weren't the best selection for me (re-reads or ones I couldn't get from the library), but it was nice to do some again.
I'm still not sure that the pros for the book caps outweigh the cons, but it did mean I got to finish some chunksters. Now to get back to the buddy read for Pillars of the Earth which I'm about 6 months behind on :o
35559 I'm super far behind due to UNO and Tower Teams, but getting back to it now. Just starting part 2 :o

Well you got back here eventually ;)

I agree with the Pullman series. I enjoyed La Belle Sauvage (Book of Dust, #1) by Philip Pullman too

It is so big! Or is that just me? I had to zoom the book page to 75% but then when I come back here everything is tiny.
It does look like Amazon....

And E … I am totally with you. What other author has 1000 pages for a mystery novel? Seriously.
Book one before anyone knew who wrote it and it had to sell on its own merits was 450 pages…. Just saying
