Agreed!

How long ago did your husband and son read it? I wonder if we notice the treatment of women more now than we did when this was released (a lot has happened since 2006!)

Easiest way is to click the link in the spreadsheet which goes to their read shelf and then do a search. We only have Laura to go and then also need two books that were a BOM before 2020 and then we have finished that whole section 🙌

35559 I finished my 500-599 pager
Silver (Martin Scarsden, #2) by Chris Hammer
which was a nice continuation of the series.
Now I have a few smaller ones and also a 600+

35559 Finished
Man-Made How the bias of the past is being built into the future by Tracey Spicer
which is one of the smaller ones I started as a paperback.

If only this book, and others based on understanding AI, got as much attention and coverage as the launch of ChatGPT did.

It is very concerning how AI is being developed and deployed! Especially for non-cis males, people of colour, and those with disabilities. I’m actually feeling overwhelmed with the size of the problem!! But she has some good CTAs at the end about how to call for change so I'm going to start some more research into AI and educate myself more on this topic

Sounds like a fun Saturday! I hope your headache went quickly. I hate waking up with one - always concerns me that it will turn into a migraine

35559 It changes quickly - we are now in 4th place :)

I finished my 600+ pager Knight's Shadow which was great and also a white cover so helped us to finish our first 10 book rainbow too

I'm now moving to one in the 500-599 range as we have enough claimed in the 600+

35559 Mine are grouped by stars they rated it which is actually quite irritating.
I’d rather just see all my friends reviews without having to click through specific star ratings

35559 That poor line
I’m not sure it wants to be associated with shame
Maybe we need a better name

Omg that sounds exhausting! I hope you get some days off this week

We can check your page count on Amazon and if it says 377 then can update GR.
Don’t worry about the link preview - it is a weird ongoing issue that we noticed in UNO. When you click it though it works

35559 Australia has had a funny relationship with Eurovision. Due to our large migrant population it has been broadcast here for 40 years but mostly seen as a bit of a side-joke by many. People would always laugh when I said we watched it each year and had Eurovision parties haha
But since we were allowed to compete (we are in Europe don't you know?! haha) I've noticed it gets a lot more media coverage and has gained more popularity.
I used to be able to just ignore social media for 24 hours to not know the winner and then watch the finals another weekend with a friend of mine from Melbourne. But that isn't the case anymore and we need to watch them when broadcast or we get spoilers :(

All the best for Sunday - that does sound bittersweet.

I am seeing my mum for High Tea today and my mother-in-law and all of my husbands family will be over this afternoon and tonight (24 of us :o ) .
No idea about Sunday - if it is nice weather then a bike ride with my husband and kids and maybe just fish and chips by the river

35559 It is Eurovision and Mothers Day weekend! Woot

What are everyone’s plans?

We watched the first semi final last night and I thought it was one of the best. I also absolutely loved Hannah Waddingham as a host and her dress! I want it!

My faves were Moldova, Serbia, Sweden and Finland. I also liked Malta - great staging!
