I would have if I didn’t know the author already. And it is a book my husband read and enjoyed so I was determined! Haha

Finally!

After 3 false starts I finally got into this one. A case of where the style just doesn’t suit audio and I had to read the physical Book.
It was a story that was a full story with an end and so no cliffhangers into book two which is nice. Although I enjoyed it I’m not sure I’m that keen to continue on the series - this may have been enough

chapter 15

Loved the ceremony with the Rain Wild people! And can totally see how something like this would get watered down and over time forgotten by the generations. Has also taken the story into an interesting direction for next winter…. 😬

chapter 10

I found this a really interesting chapter. Until this point Kyle has just been an ass hat but this explored more of his motivations and put a logical case forward for why he should have control.
Don’t get me wrong, he is still a despicable person but I liked that we got more of an insight into why he thinks he is “right” to take control.

Hello from Singapore!
It is very warm and humid and we flew in about 3pm yesterday and went to the pool and just a short walk to the river for dinner. I was so tired that by 8pm I was asleep!
Naturally up at 5am today. Haha.
Working on a few books and will update again before we head to Thailand as the internet here is good but I’m not sure once we get to the National Park in Thailand .

Now I am starting a 600+ which has been on my TBR since 2017 :o

On Wednesday morning...very early... we fly out to Singapore. So I won't be around much for the last part of the challenge but I will be reading quite a bit on the 9 hour flight and hopefully as we relax by the pool ;)
