I'd love to read this!

Ohh I'm in for this! I might do what I often do with public domain books and switch between listening to the librivox audiobook and reading it on paper or as an ebook. I already read and loved Notes from Underground so hopefully I'll like this just as much.

Here's my shelf

Hi! :) Looks like it
I'm so glad long books count for more points now!
✔ How many books you have read in 2014 (>100 pages): 59 right now
✔ How many books you plan to read 2015?: Maybe 75? We'll see how this year goes
✔ The continent you live in (so we can try and match time zones): Europe (UK)
Nope sorry
✔ Is this your first team challenge with NBRC? Nope :)

Yay! :D

Finally finished
Winter of the World. 900+ page books really weren't the best option for this challenge but I did really enjoy them.

Sorry, was not able to finish the book. I'm just glad you didn't finish yours Shannon because now at least both books can probably count for this week's.

I have a little problem with this week's book. I'm reading
Winter of the World and I think I'll finish it in time but tomorrow I'm going out at lunchtime and won't be back till probably lunchtime Sunday (BST time). The thing is I'll still be reading and probably finishing the book tomorrow night but won't have any internet to mark the book as read and let you know when I finish. Don't know how to make this work without breaking rules. Anyway, here's what the book fits for if we're able to use it.

Finished Fall of Giants. Don't think I'll be able to finish another this week because the next few books on my tbr are all 500-1500 pages. Oh well, long books are fun anyway.

Yeah, that's good with me, even though I too am only contributing I one book a week. It's still lots of fun.

This week I'll definitely finish
Fall of Giants, which also works as historical fiction. Yet again the huge cast of characters mean that it can work for any letter too. It's a shame the game will be over so soon though.

Finished
The Catcher in the Rye with a few hours to spare. :)

No, sorry. We had unexpected visitors so I've been more busy than I thought I'd be. But I'm going to be able to finish The Catcher in the Rye today because it's so short and that will work for a few letters

This week I'm reading
Fall of Giants which is really long but I think I'll finish by Saturday. It's an epic so there are enough characters to spell the whole genre, so it can be used where needed.

Midnight releases sound like so much fun! I only started reading them just after the 6th one came out so I only had to wait for the last one, but I was only 9 when it came out so wouldn't have been allowed to the midnight release. I had to wait until the next morning. I'm not sure about parties but me and my friend used to play Harry Potter all the time. We'd make timetables for ourselves and spend and afternoon going to these "classes". We'd even write "essays" on the stuff we were supposed to be learning.

I've always loved reading but the book that got me truly addicted to books was Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. I still love that series now.

Wow, that temperature is unfathomable to me. We're having one of the biggest heatwaves in years and the highest temperatures don't even reach 80 in farehneit. I don't think I'd be able to live in a place that gets so hot!
