Thanks team! We've added them all in so far except a few.I will post a update tomorrow night to summarise where we're at so far and what we can aim for next

Yes I meant Ash! Haha oops. There's so many names in books that they all blur together at some point. Especially if you're reading a few books at a time

Discussion Questions - Day 4: Ryan Bailey - A Pearl in the Shell (79%)
16. What were your thoughts on the interview Nora did? Did she handle it well? What do you make of her thoughts on life in this interview compared to the speech she gave as a champion swimmer?
17. Nora tries for a simpler life working at animal shelter. Did you see this as a life for Nora at all during the book? Do you think she will incorporate this into her chosen life? If not, what will she take from this life if anything at all?
18. In 'The Many Lives of Nora Seed', we are given a large summary of all the other lives she tried. Did any stand out to you? Did you think any of these lives would have suited her? Do any relate to what you would want to experience or have thought about experiencing? I was amused by the life where she only ate toasts and like hearing about her lives abroad. Though was a bit concerned with all the lives she chokes on something
19. The life with Ash was the one I was waiting for when reading. What do you make of it so far and what do you think will happen? I thought she would stay in this one and was intrigued about the family life she had built.
20. What are your thoughts of Mrs Elm as her guide? Do you think she does a good job or could do something better? What advice would you give if you were in her position?
**Edited to change Ryan to Ash in Q19

DQs Day 3: The Tree That Is Our Life - Wild and Free (59%)11. Regarding the system error, that occurred when Nora tried to return to the library after that speech. Do you think Nora could have trouble returning to the library from one of the next lives that she visits?
- I didn't think about that at the time of reading it. But would not have been surprised if it happened again int he future parallel life jumps
12. But you will never live if you are looking for the meaning of life. (p. 151) Do you think Nora is going to "find the meaning of life", "be happy forever in a parallel life", or "will want to die and leave the library forever"?
- I don't think she'll find the meaning of life. As a philosopher, one of the questions you always try to answer is what is the meaning of life and there's no clear answer. I think she'll realise her prime life is the one she left in the first place and try and make that one worth living.
13. Are you surprised about Nora meeting Hugo, another Slider, as he calls people like them in the in-between?
- I was surprised at that part! It was nice to see another slider's version. It would be interested if she saw another person who is a slider as well.
14. For Nora it's a library, for Hugo it's a video store. What do you imagine would your variant of the in-between be? (And obviously you are not allowed to say library now, because I'm guessing most of us would go with that answer. Be creative and let me know what else you would feel comfortable with.)
- Oof it would have been library! Haha. It's a bit of a standard as we're all book lovers here. Maybe a tea shop? Each tea I tasted would take me to a new life? Hopefully there would be a bathroom nearby. Maybe a garden as well. There's more options in a garden compared to teas.
15. We finally get to see Nora's life as a rock star. In what direction do you think this will go? Is it going to be the life Nora is happiest with and stays the longest/forever? Or do you think that she's going to leave it rather soon again?
- I thought she wouldn't like it. I didn't expect the story line with her brother but the other aspects I did. I knew she'd leave it for something else.

DQs - Day 2DQs Day 2: The Penultimate Update - Peppermint Tea (39%)
6. Were you surprised that Nora's second choice was related to her cat? What did you think of the outcome?
- Yes I was surprised! I actually liked the explanation about that and am glad she came to peace with it. I thought it was sweet.
7. How did the reality of Nora's Australia line up with what you imagined it would be like?
- No, not at all. Her best friend's life was a surprised.
8. What did you think about the similarities between Nora's life in Australia versus her original life?
- She was still alone, medicated and depressed. Something that occurs in a few of her lifetimes.
9. On the surface, Nora's life with a swimming career seems to be the most successful so far. Do you think the positives will outweigh the negatives this time around?
- No. It's not what she wanted at all so she wouldn't be happy with it.
10. Any predictions for how Nora's speech will go in the next chapter?
- I expected a crash and burn and melt into the ground moment. But I was wrong. She did great (I think). Hopefully the other Nora recovers from that well.

DQs - Day 11. Were you planning to read this book before it became a BOM? If so, what drew you to it?
- No I wasn't planning to. I had heard of it so I was interested in what the book was about. The cover was also gripping.
2. What do you think of Matt Haig’s writing style (and those short chapters!) and how he has set the story up so far?
- I like his writing. The short chapters are great. I think he's set it up really well and it was relatable for me.
3. What are your thoughts on Nora? Are you attached to her yet?
- Nora is good so far. We good to learn quite a lot about her at the start which set the tone for the book really well and quickly. Yes, I became attached. I wanted to know how she would end up.
4. If you were somehow able to, would you want to see all of the different outcomes that could have played out in your own life? Or would you rather just leave things as they are without ever knowing?
- I have often wondered about that so yes I would. I often ask myself what would my life be like if this didn't happen or if I made that choice.
5. What did you think about Nora’s first glimpse at a road not taken? Were you surprised by which book she chose to open first or by how quickly it disappointed her?
- No, I wasn't surprised.

haha oh no. Your poor sister. That's not what you want to happen on a whale watching boat ride. But at least you saw some whales or at least parts of a whale! I've heard that it doesn't happen often so at least you got your money's worth... minus the sick bags haha

Yes! Finally done thanks to our lovely librarian Megan
I started The Midnight Library last night and should get my questions up soon. I'm really liking it so far! It's been a pleasant surprise

Haha love it Lisa! I think it's dolphins that you can go and see in Perth on one of the ships there. I know it's definitely on my bucket list. And it's whale watching in Sydney, right?
Diane ~Firefly~ wrote: "Would you consider being a Bard fit 103 - MC is in the performing arts?"Definitely!

Might be cutting it close! People are thinking it will be extended but I think you'll be alright. It might be quieter on the roads which may be nice if you'll be driving around a bit for it :P

I'm glad you got out before lockdown hit!
My friend came down from Canberra on the week before it was announced and had to cut her stay short to get over the boarder before lockdown started at midnight. It's a long drive for her
I'm glad you enjoyed your birthday Karen! Hopefully you got spoiled by your family :)

NSW seems to be doing better than Vic most of the time so it should be alright. And hooray for kindle!
Thanks Kimber and Lisa. Yeah the whole situation isn't ideal. But I learnt from last years months of lockdown that the best way to deal with it is to make the most out of the time I have to be at home. Of course, having to go into work does help me get through it. So I'm lucky in that regard hehIt definitely has blown out of proportion and a lot of people are saying that it'll be extended. Everyone knew it was bound to again so it's not a shock anymore.
It's good to see everything is normal in Florida Kimber! It sounds like a lot of fun and I'm sure the weather would make it extra special!
And I'm super glad that there's no COVID drama in Sydney Lisa 😄
Updated up to here. How was everyone's weekends? Did anyone get up to anything fun or have something interesting happen?
My state went into a 7 day lockdown for COVID cases so I was finally able to finish building two Ikea drawers after a month of trying to find time to finish them haha
