35559 The Sign of Four I will have that done today. My goal was to have it done yesterday but my wife surprised me and she has the day off. My goal was changed for me to Christmas shopping:/

I will read the jewelry book next that contains that P word. Unless Suzanne reads the other book first.

I will be reading Pretty Girls and Six of Crows as soon as they come into the library. I check the hold daily:)

The ones I can think of is A Game of Thrones and Wizard's First Rule by Terry Goodkind the TV show Legend of the Seeker is based on the book but not as dark and funnier. It was a fun TV series. Books involving King Arthur also because Merlin was a pretty good show.

Not blasphemous at all. Many people didn't care for the newest movies either. I'm excited that Disney will fix it. The original three is a must watch and if you never watched it should be watched with them first. Try to find the original versions not the digital editions. There hard to find because Lucas Arts didn't want them produced anymore. There is talk about Disney releasing the originals but Fox owns the rights to produce them.

I read Night this year too. It was quite sobering and sickening. Are you planning on reading the sequels?
35559 Chapters 24-26 -- November 9, 2015

34. Peter was distraught and shut down after he thought The Lady died. What kind of love do you think Peter feels for The Lady? Do you think it is real, or has she charmed him magically?

I think Peter's love was very real. She was the mother he always wanted. If it was magic than Nick would have been under the same spell.

35. If the Reverend and the other religious persecutors are so convinced that these children are demons, what do they think of all the other creatures in Avalon? Where do they think they are? What do they think when they see the pixies and the trolls?

They see the other inhabitants as bugs and would have no problem being quashed if the demons where destroyed.

36. Why do you think Nick resents The Lady so much? Do you think it goes deeper? Does he see his own mother in her and feel those repressed resentments?

He resents her for a number of reasons. He see so many children being killed to save her yet she hides. There are also parallels between Peter trying to save his motherly figure and it angers Nick she is the reason why he can't rescue her mother.

37. We have finally learned about Greentooth and The Lady's history! Did you suspect they were sisters? Why did one of them turn into "The Lady" and the other an ugly witch with green teeth?

I always thought were family of a sort. When it comes to Gods with legends they are usually related, petty, whatever they do is for their own reasons. Why one got all the benefits and the other got green teeth one was favored over the other by their father.

38. Many of us did not expect Nick to survive the story. What are your thoughts on his death? And ultimately, what are your thoughts on the book as a whole?

Nick dying did surprised me. I felt him going home the hero and rescue his mother was going to happen. By having him die it was the lesson Peter needed to learn that "The Lady" isn't who he thought she was. I'm still not convinced Peter is going to go back and help Nick's Mom. Promises mean nothing to him.

I really enjoyed the book. A solid four stars. I enjoy retellings of stories that are a bit darker. The way the book started out I though Peter was going to be darker than what he actually was. When I finished I realized that was my biggest disappointment with the book was Peter was more gray than evil.

35559 My next book will be The Sign of Four (Sherlock Holmes, #2) by Arthur Conan Doyle The Sign of Four which should meet the brilliant character if it has not been met. Short book should be done tomorrow long as life doesn't get in the way.

Since I have numerous of books on hold at the library I will read the Jewels: A Secret History next. I'm hoping Pretty Girls comes in soon,. I'm third on the list but their are 25 e-books so I"m hopeful.

I just checked this book out at the library, I may not get to it for a couple of weeks. Something tells me I will be able to renew it. It sounds interesting and I do want to read it. If someone finds something else let me know and it will go on my back burner.
