28. How nice you escape from being persecuted for your beliefs and end up doing the same thing to other people. There is a strong undercurrent in this book of religion and religious persecution. The story also asks choices from the characters concerning their beliefs whether it is making a choice between magic, Christianity or something else like family. What do you think?
I think under the stress of the situation on the Christians it turned the fanatcial Christians to cross the line where torture is acceptable. By using their religious zeal to help them sleep at night. I'm glad the author separated the Captain and other Christians that didn't follow their fellow believers that got lost along the way.
29. Did you expect Danny to betray Peter and the Devils? I was expecting him or Leroy.
He was the youngest of the group so it didn't surprise me also there was early foreshadowing about Danny not happy and wanted to go home.
30. Do you believe the Captain has any fatherly feelings towards Danny? He seems concerned about what is happening to the Devils and does not agree with the Reverend about what needs to be done with them. What do you think, is he handling the situation as he should by essentially only looking out for himself (I wonder why because it didn’t get him anywhere but just really stuck on that island) or is there more going on that we don’t get to see yet?
I never thought for a second the Captain wasn't sincere. When the Captain was humanized regarding Danny and his dislike and fear of the reverend. I think the Captain truly was tired and wanted to go home and not fight anymore. He was beginning to remind me of Nick.
31. Nick and Leroy are saved by the Fairy Nick rescued from the privy. Nick then doesn’t kill the guard do you think that he will be paid back in kind later on? They save Peter from the cross and escape only Leroy is deadly wounded. Do you think Peter really killed him to avenge Seque or was it a mercy killing?
I don't think Nick will be rewarded I think Brom was distinguishing Peter from Nick. Peter who is blind from bloodlust and Nick who just wants to go home. Also he killed LeRoy purely out of revenge and hate.
32. Ulfgar has gone completely of his rocker and is now killing his own kind. I think that sword is just a poisonous killer and does not give judgement as Ulfgar seems to think. What about you? Do you think they will be able to stop him and maybe turn things around and make him help them save Avalon although it seems that Ulfgar has turned his back to Avalon?
I think Ulgar has dishonored that sword and his position and is at risk of losing. I also suspect Peter can touch it and will be the one to stop Ulgar
33. What is going to happen to Avalon now that the tree is dead or dying and the Lady is captured? Do you think Peter and Nick can save the Lady and the island, or are they doomed?
The Lady didn't die with the tree so she will have the opportunity to be rescued. I'm no botanist but the deepest roots might still have life with a little magic

Where do I find the official Hades spreadsheet? I must have over looked it. I've looked everywhere I can think on of the Hade's Reading Plan.

I changed my settings and updated the settings for most relevant items. Not sure if you want all of them. Where does the spreadsheet update points?

Regarding the discussion questions did I do that right? That was some crazy html.
Is there in easier way to do it. Also, do you want all the detail I put in the detail area.?

Questions for Chapters 16 - 19
22. These chapters were extremely violent. The Devils have left one war zone (their tumultuous home lives) only to find themselves in another. Nick wants to go back home and help his mother escape from the tyranny of Marko. Danny also voices a desire to return home. Do you think the children would be better off if Peter had never recruited them?
No I don't think they would be better off. Cynthia was being molested by her father. Nick was going to be tortured until he was dead. The grass is always greener on the other side
23. Ulfger has a vision that prevents him from taking action to harm Peter. Is it the Horned One he sees?
I don't remember that happening. The only think I remember is that Ulgfer picked up his father's gear and saw where everyone was and how he could execute his revenge
24. Why do you think Ulfger's guards finally turned against him?
They saw Avalon dying and only a bunch of teenagers defending it. They where shamed by it and realized they weren't acting as the Lady's guard but Ulgers
24. When Peter & co. find the Lady of the Lake, she is glassy eyed and withdrawn. After recognizing Peter, she seems to revive and the spark comes back to her. What caused her to be "catatonic," and why does seeing Peter restore her?
By singing the song that she loved so much. I think it will turn out that Peter is somehow her blood.
25. Do you think Nick will be able to convince the others that Leroy is the one who killed Sekeu? Any predictions on which one of these two will survive?
I don't think Nick will convince them with words. Peter believes him but Nick will need to sacrifice himself in order to show the other he's no flesh eater. I think Nick will survive but Leroy is toast.
26. At the end of chapter 19, Peter sees Ulfger and thinks he is the Horned One. Does Ulfger intent to murder Peter, or use him for another purpose?
Ulfger wants to kill Peter by his own hands. I'm hoping this is where Nick saves him

November 5 DQs: Chapter 13-15, pages 198-271
16. Why do you think Avallach abandoned Avalon?
The grip of man tainting his world, destroying the magic that made him powerful.
17. Do you think Nick and Leroy are at risk of turning?
I think Leroy is your typical coward hanging behind a shelf of anger and resentment. No, he won't turn. Nick however is fighting within himself and is very much at risk, I hope the Lady Mordan will heal him.
18. What do you think of the land of Avalon now that we have a more complete picture of it's history and the people and creatures there?
An enchanted forest with ecosystem that works on magic. The inhabitants are generally good and not ready for the taint the humans bring. I imagine its a what a oil spill would like an the forest.
19. Why do you think Ulfger refuses to become the Horned One, despite it being his birthright?
He is afraid that he won't live up to the Horned One's reputation.
20. What do you think Leroy will do to Nick now that Nick has beaten him?
He won't be there for him when Nick needs him in battle. The battle field is quite dangerous when the guy watching you back ignores it.
21. Do you think Nick will actually return home now that he is officially a devil?
Yes, I think Lady Mordan will send him back to deal with Marko
